My monster

The strange creature

Bubbles started rising from the lake. "Ew, who did that? Ashley was that you?" Bri looks over at Ashley. Ashley gave her a disgusted look. "What? That wasn't me." Bri looked at her again and said, "well it just did come from behind you." Ashley turned around and dived underwater and saw something furry. She went back up as fast as she could. Right when she got back up she gasped for air and looked pretty calm. "I think I saw moss but I really doubt that was what caused the bubbles." Bri looked at where the bubbles were and shrugged. "Eh.... yeah whatever." Saniya splashed water onto Bri's face. "Hey! Girl calm down, what did I do to you?" Said Bri clearing her face with a towel and going back in the lake. "I only need my face dry for now cause in a couple of seconds I'm going to put my face back on. A girl can never go anywhere without makeup." Saniya turned around. "Ah! What is that?" Saniya yelled pointing behind Ashley. Whatever caused the bubbles, it was rising from the water. All the fur from the creature appeared heavy since it was filled with water, and water drops came down with small little rivers dripping and falling really fast. Lily and Bri stare at whatever thing is behind Ashley along with Saniya and they stay there frozen in fear. Ashley is aware that whatever it was, it wasn't friendly. It wasn't gonna do any good for sure... It was behind her. She gasped and turned around slowly. "Uh guys?" Ashley swims backwards.

Bri starts to breathe heavily and quickly yells out in a terrified tone, "Guys swim away quick!" All the girls rushed to land for safety. "What creature is that!" Lily said as they ran for the bikes. Since Ashley was farther from the girls as they swam in the lake.

She liked to swim near the pine trees and smell the needles. "Oh my god guys!" Saniya said as her and the other girls were getting their bikes ready to pedal away. Bri noticed what Saniya meant by what she said. Bri gasped afraid to lose one of her dearest friends. "Ashley it's coming for you!" Ashley finally made it to shore. The creature followed her and scared her off in the woods. "Ashley!" Bri yelled. Ashley didn't want her mom to worry and not allow her to go anywhere so she tried to calm Bri down. "Don't worry Bri!" She said yelling and running at the exact same time. "But Ashley?" Ashley wanted to respond back But was to breathless. "I'll be ok!" Bri still couldn't believe what Ashley was doing just so they could run away to safety.

"Ashley run!" Bri yelled some more. "Come on girls we need to get out of here!" Saniya said as she paddled away. "Saniya! What the heck are you doing?!?" Bri yelled at Saniya as she disappeared. "But Ashley-" Bri says trying to run to her but then is stopped by an arm that is right in front of her. Lily holds her back. "Lily what are you doing? Let me go! I need to get Ashley out of this!" Lily said "She'll be fine Bri. I left my pocket knife next to her bike." Bri looked at her bike and noticed that the creature had stabbed one of her wheels. Well that thing stabbed her wheel with it's claw as it was chasing her. I'll leave her my bike and I'll take hers." Said Bri as she made her way to Ashley's bike. Lily and Bri paddled away. Ashley was running through bushes with a lot of thorns.

Ashley past almost everything and goes in an empty spaced area where there was short grass and flowers. She turned around and saw all the pine trees and bushes she passed thru knowing the creature couldn't find her while she made her way over there. Maybe it got lost. Who knows? "I can't stay out here. If I keep running this way It will catch up to me. I might regret this." She took a deep breath and went back into the woods as fast as she could and made sure she was quiet enough to not make a sound not even taking a loud and big breath. She made sure her breathing was quiet, nice, and steady. She took a deep breath again almost screaming when a crow flew right out of the tree. "Oh thank god it was just a crow." She leaned super close on a tree sticking her head out, seeing the creature right in front of her. Looking the opposite direction. "Ok you can do this." She turned left to make a run for it and she did. She dashed down right in front of it and the creature followed.

"Ow! The fudge!" She said as she was slowing down. "Ack!" Ashley cut herself in the right arm with one the thorny bush. "Eeesh my mom is definitely never gonna let me go out again if she sees this." She climbs a tree hoping the creature wouldn't see her. As soon as she got up in the tree, she held her breath. Watching the creature looking straight at her, not seeing her, didn't help her with her breathing. Right when it left and went to the left side, Ashley ran to the changing room and changed that way her mom could think she was already ready to go back home and nothing really happened. She was about to ride the bike, she wrapped the shopping bag on the bike and put her bathing suit in. She saw a long disfigured shadow and decided to leave and stop whatever she was doing cause she knew it was right behind her. She ran into the woods hoping the creature wouldn't see her if she climbed on the same tree.

She climbed back down. "Don't die. Don't die!" She whispers to herself and turns around. Then the creature grabbed her as tight as it could. "Ah!" The creature held her by the arms and waist. "Banana Splits!" She said very scared, she didn't know what else to do. If she didn't do anything she was a goner. If she did something she will be able to live tomorrow. "I'm gonna eat your brain!" The creature yelled out and let out and evil laugh. "Ugh let me go you piece of... agh! She kicked it in the spot with all her might. The creature moaned in pain and fell to the ground Ashley rushed her way back to the bike. "Stop Ash!" The creature yelled. "You can't take me alive you-"Ashley said pulled out the pocket knife when she thought the creature was close enough. "Woah, woah, woah..." The creature interrupted and took a heavy breath. "Put that down." He said slowly and backing away when Ashley was approaching it and was putting both hands in front of itself. "Excuse me whatever you are, but I ain't afraid to use this." The creature gets a stick next to his foot. "Psh. Yeah? Well I ain't afraid to use this!" Ashley calmed down knowing the creature only had a stick to defend itself. "A stick? What are you gonna do with that piece a crap?" The creature looked at the stick then glanced back at Ashley. "Hah! Glad you asked." The creature threw a thick stick at the pocket knife. "Hey!" Ashley rushes to get the pocket knife before the monster did. The creature pushes Ashley down before she can reach out for the pocket knife. It puts its knees on Ashley's thighs and his hands on Ashley's hands as she's trying to escape trying to hold her still. "Ash stop relax. Ashley relax!" "What the heck! How the heck do you know my name?!?"

She said struggling to break free from the creature. "It's me Ash." The creature was still and Ashley looked straight into his eyes. "What the heck let me the F go....I don't even want to say that word right now so don't even judge me." She struggles to break free again. "Look at me closely Ash. Do you know who I am?" Ashley takes a closer look at his eyes again and looks under his neck and noticed a zipper. Ashley gasped right when she recognized and just had to know if the creature really was who she thought it was.
