A guest but a prisoner

Ashley was asleep and hears Codey whispering something. She opens the door and it made a huge creeking sound. Ashley jumped as soon as she saw Codey turn around. Only to find out he was just getting comfortable in the couch to sleep well. She puts her hand on her chest and takes a breath of relief. "Phew. That was so close." She hears the wind blowing so hard it makes creeking sounds all over the house. She then sees a crack of moonlight shining through Codey's window covered by curtains. "I didn't see this before." She whispered to herself trying not wake Codey. "Ok, easy now steady- oof!" Ashley lands on the grass and sneaks off. She only stepped a few steps before she saw some weird creatures. They look like big fluff balls but they float and glow neon colors like pink, yellow, green , blue, torquise, and purple.

They also have wings matching their neon color. They had a small human like body smaller than their head and again there body also glowed the noen colors they had, they were very puffy and fuzzy. "Woah wait! I am still dreaming. I have to wake up! Wake up! Wake up!" Yells Ashley rubbing her eyes and opens them. "Ah!" Ashley screamed cause one of the creatures were close to her nose. She had wide eyes now and she covered her mouth trying not to be heard by Codey. "Shhhh quiet human. We won't hurt you. We are just here to help!" The neon colors glow brighter when they speak. This specific Chromatin glowed a neon pink and had a whispery echo voice that sounded charming. "What even are y'all?" Asks Ashley amazed on what she is seeing. "We are Chromatins. We are also monochromatic! Just neon colors here and there." The Chromatin pointed at each one and all the Chromatin giggles and swirled in circles. "GOT YOU!" It whispered as the Chromatin's big white eyes glowed. Ashley hears leaves crunching behind her and gasps. "Nice work Chromatins." She hears a voice behind her say. She turns and says in suprise. "What!" Ashley sees Codey standing right behind her. Codey snaps his fingers and the Chromatins fly away except a pink one. She flee into the leaves of the trees and watched.

Codey's eyes glow green as he whispers "Go to sleep." He breathes slowly and says "nighty-night." The Chromatins up above sprinkle multicolored dust on Ashley. Ashley tries to stay awake and tries to reason with Codey. "Codey I...C-C- Codey please-" She falls in a deep sleep and falls into Codey's arms. He carries her back to the cottage. The pink Chromatin that was talking to Ashley flew up behind Codey. "You think she might be the one?" Codey looks up confused and shakes his head. "Nah." He made his way inside and layed Ashley onto the couch. "I guess I'll sleep next to her for now." He lays next to Ashley. Chromatin flies to him. "Ugh, what do you want?" Says Codey looking at the Chromatin. "Come outside I want to talk to you." Its voice echoed. Codey sighed and follows the Chromatin and sits down on a log next to the lake. "You know how your mother was a you know..." The Chromatin says then clears her throat. "And your dad was a werewolf?" Then Codey responds. "Yes." He nodds his head slowly already not liking the conversation. "Well..." Says the Chromatin expecting Codey to know something or at least respond. "Uhem. yeah, uh, no idea what your going to say. So go on." Chromatin then continues. "Well I'm just saying you should follow her footsteps."  Odey sighs again. "My mother abondoned me!" He says quietly and aggressively. Chromatin gulps. "You know she only did that to protect you from the man who killed your father. She died trying to protect you.

We saw what was happening and led you to the abondoned cottage. Also your big brother will come back soon." Codey nodds and sighs. "He's not that big. I'm taller than him. But yeah, I know." Codey gets beer and drinks it. "Well, time for me to go find some food." The Chromatin turns around and flapps it's wings rapidly as it slowly flies away. "No need for that. Here you go." Says Codey as he's handing the Chromatin a piece of bread he saved in his pocket. "A white car dropped it's groceries so I ran and snuck them in. I guess you and I are having a small picnic now. Aheh, heh. Yeah, ok I'll stop now." Chromatin sticks out the rest of it's body and it reaches for the piece of bread. The Chromatin eats it in a flash. The Chromatin sits next to Codey to ask him an important question. "Aw thanks sweet pea. So what are you giving that poor girl for breakfast?" Codey shruggs and stares up at the stars and he answers the Chromatin. "You know I don't eat much so of course I have nothing." He finishes the bread and rubbs his hands together to rub off all the crumbs. "Hmm." The Chromatin snaps her fingers and flies farther from Codey. "How about me and the other Chromatins find nearby grocery stores and finesse gucci good for you."

She flies around the trees and goes back to Codey. Codey does a face palm and looks back at the Chromatin. "Can you talk normal please?" He looks at the window where Ashley is sleeping. "You're embarrasing me." The Chromatin laughs at him. "Yeah sure. I'm just saying I'ma go get you some food. Plus it's not like Ashley can hear you." Codey looks up at Chromatin. "Wait how did you know her name?" The Chromatin laughs and swirls around. "There's a lot of things you don't know about her. Like how you guys met before." Codey shakes his head. "What?" The Chromatin sighs and sits on Codey's shoulder. "She doesn't remember either. She was really young. I think I want to give you both a time to remember." Codey turns around and sighs again. "Thanks Chroma." The Chromatin bows, puts it's hands behind it's back and winks. "Hey my pleasure kid." Codey lays his head on the log and puts his hands under his head. "I guess I'm the only one left to get sprinkled away with some Chromatin sleeping sparkles." The Chromatin laughs and swirls again "Plus if she is the one you..." She then whispers, "You won't be alone anymore."

The Chromatin glitches and fades away in mid air. "Bye." Codey says still sitting on the log enjoying the beautiful starry night sky. He looks at the brightest star there is, and speaks to it. "Oh mother, why did you leave me here in the cottage. I went through tough times. I really did need you." He gets off the log, takes another quick look at the Moon, and makes his way to the Cottage.
