the first and second time

a/n: so I have re wrote this, Lord knows how many times, so if it dont work this time, I giving up. ;

warnings: mentions of fighting, cursing, brief mention of alcoholic parent

the first and second time:

the first time:

it was when Peter first came back from Civil War, he was banged up pretty bad. his right eye was swollen, black and blue, a few ribs were broken, and he had so many little tiny cuts.

Aunt May had called his girlfriend, Y/n Stark, over after he came home. but nobody knew she was a stark besides her, and the Avengers. the secret needed to be kept. for her safety. not even Banner knew until three years of being an Avenger.

she told her dad where she was headed, before he could object she was already on her bike and headed to his apartment building and running up the stairs.

when y/n walked into Peters room he was holding a frozen pea bag to his face, aunt may was sitting next to him. 'hey y/n!' Peter said through a teeth gritted smile, aunt may made her way to her, giving y/n a tight hug, and whispering into your ear, 'he's shaken up'

y/n lied with him for hours, talking about his internship with Stark Industries, she had to hold back a smile, he was so terrible at lying about him not being spider-man. he wanted to tell her his horribly kept secret so badly, she desperately wanted to tell him yours.

he told you about him getting 'jumped' and you had to pretend to want to kill them. but to be honest, you wanted to hurt Scott for throwing Peter across the parking lot.

the next thing she knows its almost midnight, and Tony dad is calling you non-stop, but her phone is all the way across the room. the ring was loud enough to wake Peter up, he slightly pushed y/n off of him, and went to get her phone.
he didn't want to answer because she hadn't told her dad that she was dating anybody, even though they had been dating for a few months, she didn't want Peter to get hurt. y/n's dad was an alcoholic.at least, that is what she told Peter.

'hey, hey y/n' Peter slightly shook y/n to get her awake, 'whaaat?' he chuckled at the cuteness, 'your dad is calling, you might want to answer'
after he said that, she jolted awake, popping almost every bone in her body, and grabbed the phone out of Peters hand. 'hi dad!' she tried her best to sound awake.

'y/n stark,' she turned around so that her back was facing Peter, she didn't want him to hear her dad say stark, 'it is 11:57 pm, and you are not home. tell me whats wrong with that picture.' she shuffled around Peters room grabbing her things, 'im sorry dad! I'll be home asap!'

'you have 5 minutes, and if you aren't here, standing in front of me, in four minutes and forty two seconds, you will be grounded. got it? got it.' after that Tony hug up, leaving y/n cursing herself.

'why does the contact name say Dad Stark?' she was halfway out the door when he said that, she had to think of something quick. 'because, he acts a lot like Tony stark. full of himself. see you later P.' y/n blew a kiss to Peter, he smiled at the nickname she had called him since they met, he caught the kiss in the air and put his fist next to his heart.

The second time:

It had been two weeks since school started back, sophomore year is now ahead of Peter. he is now the friendly neighborhood spider-man, but he couldn't tell anybody. and like y/n thought, it was a horribly kept secret. Ned accidentally found out the he was Spiderman, and the two have become even closer friends, y/n didn't think it was possible to become closer than they already were.

but that day was an awful one, she had failed a test, she had gotten several papers back that were as wrong as wrong could be, and to top it all off, Peter almost found out that she was a Stark, a second time.

Happy came to pick her up fro school, not thinking anything of it. with her dad in the backseat, they somehow forgot that y/n and Peter went to the same school.

when the bell rang, they wasted no time. within minutes they were out the front door. they both saw the car, and had the same thought, what the hell?

Tony rolled down the window, and saw them standing next to each other, 'hey yyyy/n- kid! how are you? school good? nice i thought I would take you home.'
you gave a look that told him, dad this is not okay!, and he knew it too.
but Peter on the other hand was totally fan-boying, it was so hard for him to contain himself.

'Mr. Stark! such a pleasure to see you! again..uhh, this, this is my girlfriend! y/n, she too is a big fan of you and your work.' Tony gave you a look that said, good job, and she knew it.

the whole car ride to Peters apartment was extremely awkward, y/n and Peter kept exchanging looks, so did y/n and Tony. Peter started to put pieces together until Tony cut him off from his thoughts, bringing up ideas or the internship.

it was cute, seeing Tony and Peter interact with one another. if only she could tell him, and if only he could tell you. peter mention it in almost every sentence, but he never blatantly said it

this was going to be difficult, she thought, but y/n will get through it. Peter is a smart kid. he will figure it out on his own.
