its been three years since y/n and Peter broke up. the didn't really talk that much, she wore the ring Peter gave her on a necklace, in memory of something great.

it was always awkward when the both of them were in the same room together, not talking, no eye contact, they wouldn't even smile at each other in the halls. MJ and Ned were pulling their hair out.

mj and ned both saw how awkward it was, but if they knew the reason, the real reason of the two separating, they would understand. but mj doesn't know about Peter being spider-man, and Peter would rather keep it that way.

see, y/n and Peter broke up, after that night with the vulture. he wanted to keep y/n safe. but she didn't, and wouldn't go down without a fight.

'no, Peter, im not breaking up with you!' Peter was struggling to hold back tears, but he was always one with his emotions, after all his senses were dialed to 11, so he felt more emotions than he used to. it all got worse once their relationship got to a more serious point.

'y/n, I cant do this anymore! I cant risk your life, vulture almost killed you! I dont want that to ever happen again.' y/n saw the pain in his eyes, the worry, the frustration. she was afraid this would happen.

she cupped his face in her hands, put her forehead to his, 'I dont want to loose you p' and with those simple words, his heart shattered. he hands realized how much he loved her until now. she always put others before herself, always thought about Peter before herself. y/n wanted the best for Peter. and if this is what he wanted, she would do it. for Peter.

that night still haunts her. she remembers the way she cried herself to sleep. she remembers Tony staying outside her door, talking to her, convincing her to come out and watch a movie with the avengers. the way they all stared at her, but the way that Wanda held her hand, because Wanda understood pain. she remembers it all.

everytime that Peter spoke to y/n, it wasnt anything special, really. it was just 'what'd you get on number 4?'
'y/n you dropped this' and
'you look nice today'

but it wasnt those words that broke Peters heart, it was when she didnt respond. normally, she would just say 'yeah' and 'mhmm' but never actual words or sentences.

Tony, of course, made sure his little girl was okay. was safe, and was healthy. he hated Peter for a long time, but when he heard his side the story, he forgave him.

but, when the world was being threatened by some alien who looks like he was born from a grape flavored fun dip packet, to end the world. so of course, the avengers were the first to sign up to save it.

it all started on the bus, first day of senior year. there was a giant spaceship in the sky. and Peter was the first to notice with his spidey senses, 'ned, ned, y/n, ned'

'what?' both ned and y/n said at the same time, 'I need a distraction' Peter said, pointing to the spacecraft in the sky, 'were all gonna die!!' ned yelled, 'theres a giant spaceship in the sky!!' y/n shouted after him.

all the students moved to the back in order to see it better, y/n turned her head around to look at Peter, but he was already gone. 'be careful, p' she whispered under her breath. even though they were broken up, and didnt talk much, she still cared for him. if anything happened to him, she would be beside herself.

when all the student got to the school, most of them forgot about it all. they were just gossiping about the quarter back hooking up with the cheerleader that everyone hates. but y/n and ned were too focused on the giant circle floating in the air.

'ned! go the the computer lab!' he stood there in his tracks, confused on what to do. 'why?' y/n turned around to look at him, 'because, your the man in the chair!' his eyebrows raised in excitement, and made his way to the lab, 'I thought that was a one time deal, awesome!'

she ran out of the school, trying her best to follow the ship in the sky. she called ned and was telling him where she was, 'ned, im in Times Square!' he began typing, 'okay cool, theres a tracker on Peters new suit, lemme find it...oh! got him, hes, right above you?'

she looked up, sure enough he was right. Peter is right above her, dodging a punch from a purple giant.

she let out a shriek when he was thrown past her, 'y/n? are you okay?' ned said through the phone, 'yeah, I think. but im not sure Peter is, i'll call you back!'

she tried to run towards Peter but she felt a hand on her back, pulling her in the other direction, 'Peter!' she yelled, but he didnt hear her, she looked informant of her and saw a red and gold suit. 'y/f/n, go home! you shouldn't be here!' she was to focused on Peters wellbeing to listen to her father, 'no! Peter is going to get hurt!' he gabbed ahold of her face, 'and so will you, if you dont leave right now y/n!'

her face was covered in dust, tears, and a little bit of blood. 'no, im not leaving!' Tony scoffed, of course this is his daughter. stubborn. 'this is going to hurt, a lot.' he put his hand up to her chest, and flew her back a hundred years, where vision picked her up and took her back to stark tower.

'I get it from him y'know' she said to vision, 'I know miss stark'
