I then walked down for breakfast. " Morning Lay's" my mom said as she saw me walk into the kitchen. " Mother what did I say about that nickname?" she sighed. " Fine " she said as continued cooking. " What's for breakfast?" I said as I sat on the couch. " Pancakes " I jumped in excitement. " Yes!!" my dad laughed as he walked into the room. " I looked at the time, 7:15. "Breakfast Is Ready Everyone!" I ran to the table and sat down, right as I did so did Daniel. My mom sat the plate of cakes down infront of us, we quickly grabbed 2 and put syrup on them.
I ate my food and looked at the time. " We better get going if we don't wanna be late Daniel" he nodded as he got up an put his plate away. I got up put my plate away and grabbed my backpack. " Bye Mom, Dad" they waved goodbye and me and Daniel walked out the door. " So how is you in Rose?" I asked trying to pick up a conversation. " Were fine, but my question is when are going to tell mom about Tal?" my eyes went big as he asked me. " Don't tell mom or dad about him yet ok?" he nodded. " We are gonna tell them together and plus I have to let mom get to know him first" he put his elbow on my head as we walked. " Yea I guess your right, I should do the same thing with Rose" I shrugged. " What are you gonna do with your week?" I shrugged again.
After walking and talking we got to school. " Are you happy were on time?" he chuckled and nodded. We walked up to Tal, Anthony, and Michael. We said hi to everyone and then they looked at me weirdly. I had forgotten Daniel's elbow was on my head still. I sighed and hit his elbow off. " Well I guess I will see you later " I waved " See yea, sis, or should I say lay's" I looked up at him and gave him a look. The bell rang. It was time for class, we were walking to class til I head. " Ms. Layla?" I turned to see Principal Jackson." Can I talk to you for a second" I tilted my head. " What did I do this time?" he crossed his arms. " Uh.. I mean sure.. go ahead guys" I told everyone. " Ok so you have straight A's and people like that are people I can trust to help others get there grades up so I was wondering if you could be a tutor?" I thought about it for a second and sighed. " I mean I guess I could who would I be tutoring?" he gave me a card with 3 names on it. I looked at it and my jaw dropped. " Well you better get to class now goodbye Ms. Layla" he walked away. " Bu-" I sighed and hit my hand my forehead. I walked to class and everyone looked at me. " Why you late miss?" I looked at everyone and looked at her. " Uh.. Principal Jackson wanted to talk to me?" she nodded and pointed at my seat. I sighed and plopped down into it.
The day went by and it was 5 period. We sat down for class and I looked pretty pissed off, because I was. Anthony and Michael asked what was wrong.
