CHAPTER 7
"He is the sky. You are his sun. I am the ground and when you ain't around he cries and I'm the one who catch his tears."
"Melynda,"
"Ayos lang. Tinaggap ko na 'to simula pa lang. It's just that how foolish I am to give my heart to someone so careless, reckless and disingenuous."
She is, I guess in a seasoned fugitive.
"Hindi ko naman hiniling na mahalin niya ako. I just prayed that he'll let me love him without letting me in." Natatawa niyang sabi.
I was about to answer when someone spoke.
"Hoy! Hanap na kayo sa loob!"
Only knowing it was Clevi.
"Tara na."
Isang linggo na rin ang nakalilipas.
I got fine.
Maybe everything was meant to be this way.
I can't compile any words anymore.
Pigang-piga na ang utak ko sa mga nangyayari. And I can add any concept no more.
My imagination stopped when someone grabbed me from behind.
I felt his grip around me.
Firm, yet gentle. He held me close - unwilling to let go.
It was like the waves touching the shore refusing to wrap back into it's ocean.
How can he be like this if all I ever wanted is to move on.
Sandali na lang ang buhay ko. At ayokong manatili sa yakap ng nag-aalab na sunog na maaaring makalusaw sa akin.
"I'm the fire that's willing to hug the coldness in you.. but frankly, you were so cold that even touching you can hurt a flame.." he whispered.
"Ezra,"
"Yet I'm willing to be in pain just to hold you this close."
With half open mouth, I tried to release some words.
"No words needed, Amethy."
He then kissed my head.
He's an awful experience, but never a saudade feeling.
Yes, I always long for him, but that's because I want more of his touch. When truth is, I never longed for him because, how can you long for a person who is a few inches to your skin?
"Ezra! I'm going! Mama will find me!"
"Wait up, missy."
"No, Jass is already here. No need to worry."
He went down his room. With his white button down polo, black ripped jeans and his white shoes.
He's folding his sleeves when Jass came in.
"Let's go."
"Uwi na 'ko. Will you be fine here?"
"Nah-uh - a'right, a'right!"
Tinaasan ko siya ng kilay kaya pumayag din.
So, Jass and I went out of his house not knowing he was following us.
"Where you goin?"
"Goin' home, I guess?"
"Dude, you ain't kidding - you leavin' yo' house alone?" Jass asked, impressed.
