Alyssa's POV

"LET'S GO TO A BONFIRE!!!" The first thing I hear when I answer Kacey's call.

"Ummm... How about no." I replied. I didn't feel like going out tonight.

"PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!" Kacey begged.

Ugh. Why does she do this. I hate when she begs. I have learned that she will not stop until I give in.

"Fine." I answer monotoned. I didn't want to, but this will be the only way to shut her up.

"Great! I will pick you up in twenty minutes." Then she ends the call.

Great. Twenty minutes before I am dragged to this stupid bonfire.

I do enjoy fire, but I bet I am going to just sit by the fire acting like a loner all night.

Maybe I can come up with an excuse before Kacey comes to pick me up!

Beep

"Don't think about making up something. You are coming to the bonfire even if I have to drag you there. -K <3"

Darn you Kacey!!! It is like she read my mind! I sometimes hate how well she knows me.

After twenty minutes, I get into Kacey's car and we are off to the fire.

The bonfire was at Jacob's house. Jacob is Tom's friend. Maybe Tom will be at the party!

We walk around the house and there is a big bonfire in the middle of the yard.

People are everywhere. Some are roasting marshmallows, others are just staying warm, and the rest are running around.

I turn back towards where Kacey was after I looked at the yard, and she was gone.

Wonderful.

I decide to go by the fire, but there was no one there that I knew well enough to actually talk to. I just keep warm because it is a little chilly.

My first thought was this isn't that bad, but you know the universe loves to prove me wrong.

Next thing I know the fire grows twice it's size, and of course I was right next to it. I almost got burned in the face.

I decided that I should walk away before I actually get hurt. I walk towards the house where there was a group of people playing a game.

I look at the center of the circle of people and I see a bottle, spin the bottle. I am not playing that, so I walk away.

"Hey watch it!" Someone yells at me after I accidentally bumped into them.

"Sorry." I said while I just walk away.

Most people are drunk here, so I kinda just have to excuse that annoying behavior.
