Chapter 18

Alyssa's POV

Stupid alarm. Stupid school.

I roll off my bed and start getting ready for school.

It is only Tuesday!! No!!!!! This is unfair. It seems like Friday.

I just threw on a t-shirt and a pair of jeans. I put my hair in a low ponytail and walked downstairs.

My parents were in the kitchen talking. I enter and they both say good morning to me. The go back to their conversation and I grab a banana.

After I ate, I went outside and proceed to walk to school.

Half way there a car blasting music speeds past then stops. The car backs up to where I am walking then slowly moves forward when I do.

The window rolls down and hold and behold there is Tom in the driver's seat.

Right when I see it is him, I get mad and storm away. Of course he catches up because he has a car and I am on foot.

"Whoa! Slow down speed racer." He jokes.

I don't say anything and keep speed walking towards school.

"I was kidding. Do you need a ride?" He asked.

I stop, glare at him, and start walking again.

"What got your panties in a twist?" He thinks this is funny!

He is an asshole.

I still don't reply. I am so close to school. There I can hid.

"Babe?" He sounds concerned now. I look at him and everything he did yesterday comes back to me. Now I am angrier then I was before.

I see the school ahead, so I start to sprint. Tom didn't expect it, so he sat there for a second before catching up.

I run into the school while Tom has to go park. I go to my locker grab all my stuff I need and hid in the library. I am guessing he won't look there and if he does find me, he can't yell at me. If he does yell, I can get away when he gets in trouble.

Yes, I do have this all planned out.

I get into the library and I go down a random isle. I grab the first book I see and start examining it.

There is still twenty minutes left until first period. If I can make it until then, I just have to his during lunch also.

I hope this won't be an everyday thing. I just need today to calm down before talking to him.

Ten more minutes. I still have the first book I grabbed because I have just been going through what I want to say to Tom and how I can hid from him today.

Put the book back. I never looked at it. I wasn't interested in books right now.

Finally the bell rings for first class and I walk quickly to the classroom.
