Growing up in a Rich family wasn't easy at all. People think it's really awesome to live in a big house and have everything you want. Don't get me wrong, it is fun. Besides the fact that you are 24 and living with parents, and having to marry someone you don't even know. By that I mean having to sleep with this person, having to undress, and even eat at the same table with this person. Where your heart doesn't connect to this other human beings heart. This heart doesn't even know this person at all. This heart is just heartbroken, I had to leave this person I loved the most in my life. All because of this important contract. All because of money. All because of my father.
The Addams family was one of the richest families in New York. I lived In a big house. The house was beautiful and I loved it very much. I had a lot of memories there. My mother Lucy Addams, she was the most beautiful woman in the world. She was super smart, sweet, and loving. She had long, and wavy brown hair. My mother Lucy went to Harvard and became a doctor. My father Jonathan Addams, was very tall, and handsome man. He also went to Harvard to become a business man. They both met each other there and they fell in love. My mother was so In love with my father that she would do anything this world to be with him. My fathers business was growing and he was becoming so rich to the point that he made my mother stop working. He was a vey jealous man. He knew that men out there thought my mother was beautiful and he was afraid that someone else could take his place. My mother did stop working because she loved my father. She wanted him to be happy. They only decided to have one child, well they didn't decide they only could have one kid. They named me Elizabeth June Addams. I had brown hair like my mother and beautiful, big brown eyes. I looked exactly like my mom. I was a very happy child. I had everything I wanted, I couldn't ask for anything else. I love my parents very much and they loved me as well. When I turned fifteen, my mother found out that she had cancer. She was dying and she was very young. My father was hurting a lot and was afraid to lose her. I didn't know what I was suppose to do, I was only fifteen. I stayed in the same room as my mother until she became so ill and died. After her funeral we locked the room she was in and we never opened it again. My father spend all of his time in his office, and I spend all my time in my room feeling depressed, lonely, and confused. Years later when I turned nineteen, I got into the University of New York. I wanted to become a lawyer, to help people. Once I started in the fall I met this guy that was also studying to become a lawyer like me. His name was Christopher decker. He had light brown hair, and light blue eyes. He was handsome and smart. We studied together and went to a couple of dates. I even met his parents and I loved them and I'm pretty sure they liked me. Christopher and I told each other everything. I was falling in love with him slowly, and I knew he was the guy I wanted to marry. One special night, he asked me to marry him, and I said yes. I was the happiest woman alive. It was the best day of my life. Not everything was Perfect because that same night, it was also the worst day of my life. I come home and I see my father. I noticed that his beard was getting grey, and his hair too. "Elizabeth, I'm glad you are home. Please come to my office I need to talk to you." He said. I was confused and I was kinda scared. This was the first time in so long that he wanted to talk to me, since my mothers death. I put my purse down and I nod at him. He goes inside the office and I follow him. He wasn't alone, he was with a chubby, older guy wearing a suit and tie. I have never seen him before in my life. "Come sit down Elizabeth." My dad said. I slowly sit on the chair and looked at my father. "This is Robert brown a lawyer from Harvard. A good friend of mine." Said my father. I looked at him and smiled a bit. "Hello." I said, still feeling a bit confused. "Elizabeth, I remember how happy you were as a child. I would buy you anything you wanted, you asked for everything." Said my father. I just sat there and shook my head like he was trying to tell me something, like he had a point to make. "Well, I think it's time for you to give me something back in return." He said. I felt like I wasn't talking to my father, like I didn't know who this person was at all anymore. "What do you mean?" I said. My father got up and grabbed a piece of paper. "It means that you need to sign this for me." He said. I looked at it and I tried to see what it was and how this piece of paper was making my heart beat so fast. "What is this?" I said. My father started walking around. "This paper Elizabeth, is a contract. For you to sign. Agreeing to marry someone in order to save your fathers money." He said confidently. I couldn't believe him, I couldn't believe what he was trying to get me to do. I went back where Christopher got on his knees and asked him to be his wife. I got up as quickly as I could. "I can't do this, I'm sorry but that's impossible." I said. My father looked at me, feeling angry. "Impossible? Everything I got you, was impossible to get, but with every last cent, I got you what you wanted." He screamed. I have never been so scared in my life. I have never heard him scream like that. The lawyer just stood there looking down, feeling embarrassed. "I can't do it dad, i can't because I'm in love with someone else." I said feeling upset. I looked at the precious ring he got me, and I showed my father. His face expression changed in the second I showed him the ring. "NO! You are not getting married with that guy!" He said screaming again. "You won't even leave this house until you sign the contract and save everything we have." He said as he walked to the door and left the office. I looked at the lawyer and he sits down. "Look Elizabeth, if you don't sign this contract, he will lose every cent he has. He lost his wife and he might even lose you too." The lawyer said. I looked at the contract and at the lawyer. "I would rather lose every cent I have, then to live with someone I don't love." I said as I get up and leave the office quickly, heading upstairs and going to my room. Finding a suitcase in my closet, to pack as soon as possible. I hear my door lock behind me as I'm packing and I turn around quickly. "No,no, please no." I said feeling scared. I try opening the door but it's locked. I bang the door and I scream out the maids names. No one helped me. No one was home to help me get out of this. My father was on the other side of my door. "Sign the contract and you will be free." He said. "Please dad, don't do this to me." I said as Tears were coming down my cheek. "I love Christopher.. he's the love of my life." I say as I hit the door and cry. "If you don't sign this contract, I will kill the love your life." He said angrily. I stopped crying and stopped hitting the door. I couldn't let that happen. I couldn't have another person I love, die. I lean on the door and I fall down crying. I was broken. I was lost. Why was this happening to me? I Stayed in my room for two days. I didn't want to come out of my room. I didn't have another choice. Christopher didn't deserve to die. He deserves to go on with his life. I was going to sign the contract.
