Krissy was in her usual look. She was wearing his husband's oversized shirt with an apron. She was cooking pasta for dinner.
Her frown was visible. She was cooking frustratedly.
It had seven years when she was pregnant. It was very stressful. The morning sickness, the cravings and Robin were the reasons for her stress. Robin was very reluctant on having their children. For all the mornings she would wake up with sickness in her stomach, for all the cravings she had to look for herself, for all those kicks of the babies, she was left alone. Robin was barely there. She knew he wasn't ready and so was she but the babies were blessings she couldn't help but accept.
She would usually cry herself to sleep and stare outside the window while rubbing her bump. She couldn't reach Robin. She was completely alone.
Little hands tugging on her shirt, made her go back to reality.
"Yes, baby." There she saw her little girl staring at her with teary eyes. She looked so much like his father. She got the eyes that made her fall in love, electric blue.
She kneeled in front of her. She wiped the tears in her eyes.
"Why are you crying?"
"C-carson," she stuttered and cried throwing her arms around my neck.
"Shh." She consoled her baby. Her little girl, Carrie was so much like her. She was a sweet girl and loved reading as well. He looked like her father but had Krissy's personality.
The little boy, Carson came to the kitchen with his hands on his back. Carson was the exact duplicate of his father. It was quite unfair for Krissy to have her children looking like their father. But she still loved her kids, their kids.
"Momma, I didn't mean to. She was so annoying me," the boy said staring at the ground.
"What did you do Carson?"
"I painted her favorite book," he whispered. Krissy sighed. It was always like this. Carson was short-tempered just like his father while her little girl was very curious. She would ask questions every now and then or she would find out something she's curious about herself.
"Carrie baby, what did you do?"
"I asked him about his drawings but he wouldn't answer so I kept on asking him."
"Carson, say sorry to your sister."
"Sorry Ri."
"Carrie, do the same."
"Sorry, Son," she giggled amused with his brother's nickname.
Carson was frowning. He didn't like the nickname. He hated it with passion.
"Stop calling me that." He crossed his arms stubbornly.
"Then, stop calling me Ri."
Krissy laughed at her children. They would always fight but would always end up like this. They were her happiness.
The doorbell rang. Suddenly, her mood changed. She ushered the kids to watch tv and forget the doorbell. She knew who was outside and she didn't plan on opening the door for him.
She increased the volume of the tv so that her children would not hear there father.
"Sweetheart, open the door please. I'm sorry." His husband pleaded and his voice was desperate. Krissy didn't open the door and continued her work in the kitchen.
He kept calling for her wife but she wouldn't answer. Later on, the door went silent and Krissy was too busy to notice.
Arms snaked around her waist. She went stiff until she realized who it was. She could smell his perfume from where she was standing.
She turned around and slapped him.
Robin's hands were up in surrender.
When Krissy was pregnant with their child, Robin was in a state of hesitation. But not soon enough, he realized that he couldn't live without Krissy and that he wanted their children. He had to court Krissy for two long years. He had to do everything to gain her trust back. Robin would send flowers everyday. He would show up in her parents house every time where she was staying when he abandoned her. He struggled but he never complained. He knew he was wrong. Krissy was the best that ever happened to him.
"I'm sorry, love. I was just caught up with work. I didn't notice the time." Krissy was punching him out of frustration.
"I cooked you food goddamnit! But you didn't show up for lunch. Do you even know how important this day was?" Her punches were getting slow and her dam broke.
"Are you on your period?"
"I'm not on my period, idiot. I'm, i'm pregnant." Silence. It was all she heard. Krissy was anticipating what will happen next. She feared that it would be the repeat of last time.
Robin stood still without any expression on his face. Krissy's tears were starting to drop. She turned around and got back to what she was doing. She knew that if would happen. She just cried there until she heard him chuckle.
"Did you really think, I would do it again?" Robin turned her body towards him and pecked her on the lips and wiped off her tears. He was smiling genuinely. It was one that made her weak to her knees.
"I'm happy that I could make up for the mistake I had done with our kids. I won't do the same mistake again. I promise."
"I love you, Krissy and you are mine."
