Things rode smoothly for a while. People made nice comments on my hair and actually acknowledged me. Apparently Abercrombie and Bitch was not as bitchy as I thought she was. Then again, her wrath probably hadn't hit full on.
I ran into Kim in the halls while on my way to my locker. "I see the cry baby decided to show up today."
I scowled. "Would you stop calling me that?"
"Nope." Her lips made a popping sound on the p.
"Then I'm calling you a bitch."
"Not the first time I heard that."
"And certainly not the last." I shoved her towards her next class.
Thankfully, I hadn't seen him at all so far. And I wanted to keep it that way. I was in a good mood, and he was just going to complicate it. I was breathing on my own finally.
I may not of seen him, but I did see her. This chick was almost never alone. She walked fluently, her puppies synchronized with her every move. It was the most ridiculous thing I'd seen yet. It didn't get anymore of a cliche.
Our eyes were fixated on each other. I willed myself ready to with stand her blows. No way was I letting her ruin my mood.
She topped right in front of me as I turned and slammed my locker shut. "Why are you here?" She snarled.
I could feel my eyes role. "It's a good thing you're not a blonde. It's called an ed-ja-kay-shun." I said slowly.
Her eyes narrowed into slits. "Do you think you're funny. You're not." Her puppies nodded. "You want to know what you are though."
It wasn't a question, she was going to tell me regardless. "Enlighten me." She wasn't the only one with a toothache smile.
"You're a home wrecker. A whore. Do I need to spell it out? Here may be you will understand it if I spell n-a-s-t-y-s-l-u-t." Her green eyes set a blaze. "Do you think you can just prance into this school and date whoevers boyfriend? I don't know how trashy your hometown is, but things don't work like that around here. You're in my town now. On my territory, and if you try to get your slutty little hands any where near Jeb, you will regret it. Got it?" She cocked a devious brow and flung her hair.
The nerve of this girl. There was a battle raging within me, to snap or not to snap her neck. I smiled, the anger seething behind it. "Whatever helps you to sleep at night red hot and bitchy." I smiled and turned to walk away.
Seething inside, I had to stop myself quite a few times from going against the limits I put up. I was now a ticking time bomb.
