Skylar Ressler's POV

"I think Raymie's cute!" I blush as Beth's brother walks past us. Beth gives me a disgusted look "Ugh! Don't say that, he's my brother! And besides, he's twenty eight, and you're only twelve. Don't you see he's too old for you?" I giggle and tuck a strand of my hair behind my ear. "Well, I'd definitely be better for him than that girl Uncle Red killed."

Beth laughed "My dad's not your uncle, Sky." I laugh "Well he treats me like I'm family." She smiles "That's because to us, you are family. Your dad is my mom's best friend." Uncle Red and Raymie come into the room. "What are you girls talking about?" I blush, Raymie raises his brow at me and smirks.

Raymie looks at Uncle Red "Whatever my sister and Sky are giggling about, it's probably not interesting to us." he nods "You're probably right, Raymie. Come on, Lizzie and Donald need our help with a case." I giggle "Bye Uncle Red!" He hugs me, "Stay here with Beth, Sky." Raymie raises his brow and tilts his head at me "What? No goodbye for me?" I blush "Bye, Raymie. Be careful."

Beth smirks at my blushing, then nods "Yeah, be careful, Raymie." He winks "I'm always careful, little sis."

The guys leave the house. Beth turns to me "You have a crush on my brother, don't you?" I shake my head "What? No way! He's like, way older than me!" Beth giggles

"You're a terrible liar, Sky. You really think I didn't see you blushing at Raymie?" she raises her brow the same way Uncle Red does. I sigh "Okay, you got me. Yes, I like Raymie." I pout "I wish he was closer to my age!"

Beth giggles "Yeah. Maybe you can find someone closer to your age, Sky." I pout "Not likely I'll find someone my age that's as cute as Raymie."

Raymie's POV

I couldn't help but smirk thinking about Sky. The way she blushes every time I look at her, it's cute. But Sky's only twelve. I'm almost thirty now. And Beth and I have hung around Sky ever since Ressler first adopted her. Even if something could happen with Sky and me, which probably won't, wouldn't it be too weird? I mean, Beth and I watched after her like she's our baby sister.

Ressler comes to me. "Hey Raymie. Samar and I have a lead on our next name on the blacklist, so could you watch Sky for me? I'd appreciate it."

He and Samar leave. I look at my father. "Dad, we have to go back home. I have to watch after Sky for Ressler."

Beth's POV

"Sky, Raymie's home." Sky squeals "Really?! I..I mean, okay. Nice to know he and Uncle Red are back home, safe." The guys open the door, Sky runs to my brother and hugs him. "Raymie!!! You're home!!" My dad walks inside, he looks at his watch, then at me. "We weren't gone THAT long, were we?"

I laugh and shake my head. I beckon for my dad to come towards me. He raises his brow, but walks over to me. I whisper "Dad, I think Sky has a crush on Raymie."

Dad looks over at Sky, blushing and talking with my brother. He smiles "She's a little young for him." I laugh "You think?"

I walk over to my brother and Sky. She gasps "Wow! So that girl only flirted with you so her mama can kidnap you?" He nods. "Natalie was a brat. She made your dad mad and emotional. My dad, who you call Uncle Red, couldn't stand that girl hurting your father, so he shot her. Gave her the death she deserved. A few days after that, your father adopted you."

She smiles "I'm not a brat, am I, Raymond?" Raymie and I tilt our heads the same way Dad does. Sky has never called my brother Raymond before. It's always been Raymie. He smiles "No, you're not a brat, Sky. You're the sweetest little girl I've ever known."

I clear my throat "What about me? I'm your sister." He gulps "Okay, okay, you're the second sweetest little girl I've ever known." Sky giggles and blushes at Raymie, her eyes sparkling.

I chuckle. I would totally ship Skymie, or would it be Raylar? Ressington? I shake my head. Whatever, if only my brother was her age. Sky's more like a baby sister to him.
