Shelby (point of view)

“What are you guys doing here?” I said to the guys, I can’t believe they followed me here, “Look we can explain, Niall wanted to get some-““No way don’t put this on me,” Niall said to Louis. I pinched between my eyebrows absolutely annoyed by them, “You know these guys?” I heard Luke say, I froze in place because I forgot he wasn’t supposed to know about them. “Ya I know them, they live with me,” I told him. He looked kind of confused but who wouldn’t be, having five guys live with you is kind of weird, but for some reason he was really calm about it. “Oh ok hey do you still want to come over you can bring McKenna,” he said while scratching the back of his neck, “Ya I’ll be there what time do you want me to come over?” I asked “Ah you can come over whenever I don’t mind,” he said with a big smile. I loved to see him smile it made me feel like I didn’t need to worry about anything.

I drove home after going to the mall with Luke and everything went downhill, the guys wouldn’t leave me alone after the whole “date”, Zayn was monitoring everything that I had so I couldn’t wear anything that he calls “too showy”. The nerve of these guys telling me what I can and can’t do, “Hey, are you ok,” I heard Harry say, “Ya just peachy,” I said back. “Look I know your upset but we were just worried about you,” he told me “So that gives you the reason to follow me around with him,” I said. I understood that they cared but really we were only hanging out, “What if something happened?” Harry said “Nothing was going to happen we were at the mall,” I said back, I walked to the kitchen to do some dishes that needed to be done but Harry followed me.

Harry and I had the conversation for hours and to be honest I hated to yell or fight, thank god that Niall came over because I would been reduced to tears. It seemed to happen a lot I am horrible at fight because I always cry even when I talk to my mom about something that’s not worth crying about I begin to cry. “Hey, Harry Louis said that he needs your help,” he said while placing his hand on Harry’s shoulder, “Uh sure,” Harry said back. I saw him leave and then I looked up at Niall “Does Louis really need Harry for something?” I ask he laughed and said no with a big smile, he grabbed my hand and took me outside we walked over to the park so I could think. “How are you holding up,” he asked as he grabbed me a swing I sat down and looked at the ground “I’m ok I guess but…I just want to know why did you guys do that I mean really?” I asked. I heard him let out a big sigh and then he began to talk, “We were worried about you, I mean we don’t know this guy and you have been hanging out with him for a while and we thought…” he began to say but I cut him off “You thought that I couldn’t take care of myself?” I said to be honest it came out kind of rude but he knew that I didn’t meant it that way.

“No…we thought he would take you way,” he said, I sat there silent I was trying to process what he meant by that. “What do you mean?” I asked him “I mean we are really close, I mean we are like one big family but when you began to hang out with that guy you have been really distant with us,” he told me. I looked up at him and noticed that he was looking at me the entire time, “I’m sorry I guess I forgot,” I apologized he looked at me and gave me a little punch in the arm, “Hey that hurt,” I said while rubbing my arm. “Good,” he said with a big smile “Hey race you back home,” he said “It’s on,” I said back we raced back to the house while laughing.

Niall (point of view)

When we got home Shelby was jumping up and down just because she won I had no idea that she had so much energy in her, “How…do…you…have that much…energy?” I asked her, she smiled and looked at me “Because I play volleyball and softball,” I couldn’t help but laugh at her comment. We got inside and I noticed that the guys were all sitting on the couch except Zayn who was leaning on the wall with his arms crossed. Uh oh were dead I thought to myself, I was going to say something but Shelby took the heat for me, “I’m sorry guys I ran to the park and Niall followed me to make sure that I was ok,” she said nut the guys didn’t seem satisfied with that answer. “Why are you always hiding Shelby you know that we can talk stuff out right?” Liam said calmingly, I looked over at Shelby and noticed that her face was turning red and her hands were making a fist. “Come on guys leave her alone we talked already and…” “No I want to hear what she says I want to know why she’s hiding from us,” Zayn said rudely. Harry and Louis said something too but I was too busy being mad a Zayn then Shelby spoke up, “Because not talking and hiding is all I know how to do,” she yelled.

All of us went silent we had no idea that she felt that way, she looked up at us and then looked back at the ground, “I’m sorry I yelled,” she said Liam got up and walked over to her she flinched when he was close to her, we were always wondering why she would flinch when someone would touch her when she was upset but we didn’t want to ask her about it till she was ready. He gave her a hug and I guess it caught her off guard because her arms were still at her side. “You should have told us that, we would have understood you don’t need to worry ok you know that we are here for you to talk to,” he told her he let go of her and we could tell that she was crying a little bit. She wiped them off and then looked at us, “Why don’t I give him a rain check and we can go hangout today,” she said with a smile all of us agreed and began to think about what we were going to do. Shelby went outside to call the guy and Zayn was making his way to the door, “Dude don’t,” I told him, he looked at me and then walked back to his spot on the wall.
