~Lance's POV~
Suddenly, everything felt like it was in slow motion. I screamed Keith's name, getting everybody's attention to look at him. He slowly fell to the floor, blood starting to pool around him already.

He can't be dead, he can't be dead...

Still as though in slow motion, Hunk started screaming as well, giving everything he had at the sentries, his energy blaster firing. Sentries toppled and and I joined Hunk, shooting down those that remained.

I quickly turned around and saw Shiro pick up Keith. We sprinted out of the entranceway and made our way to our lions. Hunk insisted on taking Keith to his lion, not wanting to be separated from his lover.

~Hunk's POV~
After a minute of arguing with Shiro, I got to take Keith back to my lion. I looked down and saw his wound. I was horrified.

Right below where his heart was, there was a large gash, emanating a sickly purple light. Steam was coming off of it, and blood was still leaking out fast, and I feared that he would die of blood loss before we got him to a pod. I was surprised it broke a hole through his armor.

When I finally got into the lion, I laid Keith down on my lap with his head resting on an armrest and his legs dangling off the other. I started up my lion and and flew out of the ship, the others following.

Lance got Blue to get a hold of Keith's lion and followed us out last. Shiro told us what had happened to Keith, because he had watched from afar, unable to do anything because he was stuck in a fight with a challenging sentry.

Apparently, Keith was fixated on taking out a sentry when he made the mistake of removing his shield and full on attacking it. A sentry from his left and aimed at his heart, but Pidge knocked it over. Unfortunately, the sentry had already shot, and missed Keith's heart by a little.

Lance could be heard sniffling over the comms, and just then did everything from the battle fall on me. A wave of exhaustion hit me, and I felt my adrenaline rush subside. The pain from holding my blaster got to my arms, and I could barely hold the handles.

I felt like I was close to passing out, my eyelids heavy. But I couldn't fall asleep, not now, not while Keith's life depended on me. I sped up, flying into Yellow's hangar. I picked up Keith and rushed outside out of Yellow's mouth, who lowered her head to let me out. "Thanks, Yellow!" I called out to her, not looking back.

I rushed to the castle's control room and shouted at Coran and Allura to get a healing pod ready. They both looked horrified and could barely keep their posture. Coran was the first to come back to his senses, and he rushed outside of the control room. I followed him, Allura right behind me.

I started crying, but I didn't care. Before I knew it, Coran set up a healing pod and had Lance and I switch Keith into the healing pod outfit. We carefully placed him in, and Coran started up the pod. The pod closed over him, and there was only one more thing we had to do.

Wait.
