~Third Person~
Everyone had hurriedly dressed up in their armor and rushed to their lions. Hunk and Lance shared a departure kiss and boarded theirs. Everyone sped out of the hangars and grouped together outside. Lance almost wondered where Keith was when he remembered. He sighed and caught up to the others, who were slowly approaching Zarkon's main ship.

Pidge had installed her cloak and flew ahead. "I'll go ahead and clear the path from as many fleets as I can!" Pidge stated. "Alright. While you do that, Hunk, Lance, distract the main fleet while I damage the main ship." Shiro ordered, staying back.

Lance and Hunk, lions close to each other, glided through open space. Soon enough, the main fleet noticed them and aimed their canons. Hundreds of laser blasts came their way.

Hunk immediately freaked out, shouting, and flew out of the way. Lance's reaction has been too slow and many laser beams got him, knocking him out and powering down his lion, but not before he screamed.

~Hunk's POV~
Lance's lion went spinning back, slowly coming to a stop. I had to protect him from any more damage. I maneuvered in front of him, activating Yellow's extra armor. I flew at the ships, slicing them. I summoned the jaw blade and cut through more until there was little left of the main fleet.

Coran and Allura tried to help by shooting from the castle defenses, particle barrier up. She was shouting orders at Coran. Obviously, both Alteans were being put under a lot of stress.

I looked over to check on Shiro's progress. He was already slicing and clawing at Zarkon's ship, explosions everywhere. I turned around to make sure Lance was alright. My heart stopped beating for a few seconds.

Lance wasn't at the spot I left him at.

I started looking around, hyperventilating. Then I saw him. Being abducted by a ship's purple light beam. I knew I wouldn't be there in time to save him, but I tried anyways, speeding past the rest of the main fleet. "LANCE!" I screamed. The others looked around and spotted the abduction. Pidge accidentally turned off her cloaking and Shiro screamed Lance's name as well. "May Tagaloa curse this slow speed..." I angrily muttered.

Pidge yelped in pain. Her lion had been grazed by a ship's ion canon. Were they really that powerful? Electricity crackled around it and she could be heard breathing heavily over the comms. All the fleets suddenly retreated back to Zarkon's main ship, including the one that took Lance.

I sped after them even after the ship went into hyper-speed. Lance was gone. Gone with Zarkon. Who knew if we would be able to get him back? My heart pounded against my chest and tears flowed down my cheeks. There was no sound other than the mourning silence of the others.

I lost Lance. I failed him. I told myself to protect Lance and I didn't. I-I failed him...

The last thing I remembered before fainting is Coran reassuring me. "Don't worry Hunk. We'll get him back."
