One is at the highest level of the hierarchy and the other is at the lowest; yet, nothing is what they seemed to be and nothing is absolute. Trust in the calling of heart for it knew what to do, when the time comes.

Madam Wang gaped at Qing.
"You mean, Dayu's convinced that you love someone else, and that your relationship from now on, would purely be on the physical level alone..?" Madam Wang blinked, she couldn't believe what she had just heard from Qing, "you're telling me, that to Dayu, this will be a marriage of convenience..?"
Qing winced. It sounded harsh but, he's willing to take whatever Dayu was offering, just to have Dayu with him.
"Dayu love me, grandmother. He told me himself. But he doesn't believe that I love him too.."
"For obvious reason," Madam Wang bit it, "I can understand that Dayu must have been very hurt but didn't you explain to him earnestly?"
Qing sighed, "I did everything I could. If I could carved open my chest and let him see my heart, I would have done so." Qing said, "but he's so hurt, he had made himself believe his thoughts when he saw me and Dr Ma. Dayu said, I love the doctor, grandmother. Could you believe that?"
"Well..To tell the truth, I thought so too when I first saw you. Let me ask you Qing...What would you feel if that precious doctor of yours love you?"
Qing frowned, looking at His grandmother, "he's not my precious doctor, grandmother. And even if he loves me; it wouldn't changed a thing between us. I don't feel that way for him...I never did and I never would. I wouldn't meet with him anymore. And I don't feel the slightest regretful.." Qing said earnestly, looking at his grandmother.
"The one I love is Dayu. He's the only one I would ever feel this way for." Qing repeated the same words he had told Dayu when they met today, "and he would be the only one for me, in this lifetime..Nobody else meant more to me than him.."
"I believe you, Qing .." Madam Wang nodded, she knew her grandson, and she knew that Qing didn't love Dr Ma the way the doctor loved him, "but..I'm your grandmother..so maybe I'm biased over you.." she muttered, then she sighed and looked at her grandson again, "so. What are you going to do? How are you going to make Dayu believe you again..?"
"It would take time..So, I'm learning to be patient now. I won't rush him." Qing grimaced, "it's not going to be easy..I know...But even if it takes me a lifetime to get his trust back. I would do it."
Madam Wang sighed, she couldn't help but worry over the development.
"I'm worried Qing. If the other Elders hear about this...That everything's not well between you and Dayu, they might have a change of heart and come to try their luck with him again..!"
Qing's face turned dark, "as if I would ever hand them Dayu..!?" He'd kill whoever decided to come back and try to steal Dayu from him, "Dayu had made his choice..."
"And what if he now regretted it?" Loving someone who you believe is in love with someone else; that wouldn't be so easy. It would be hurtful and painful. And what if Dayu decided that he had had enough of the pain?
