The road to recovery is a long one.
The path is full of twists and turns;
It is never straightforward.
But it is a journey that I must still take.
There are some days when I want
To stop the car, climb out and walk away;
Some days when I'm going 80
Miles an hour down a straight road;
Other days when my engine
Just won't start.
But still I must persist.
Even if I have to get out and push
Or ditch the car and run the rest of the way.
Because, even if I can't see it,
The end is in sight.
I can't stop now.
I have come to far to give up.
My car may be battered, the engine
May be knackered and the tyres
May be deflated but I'm not slowing down.
I will persevere through snow,
Through wind, through rain because
I am a survivor and I will recover
