When I was a child, I used
To believe that hero's were the
Ones who defeated dragons
And rescued princesses from
Tall towers, whilst wearing
Shiny armour.When I was a teen, I didn't
Believe in hero's. how could
There be? No one had defeated
My dragons and rescued me
From a tall tower, whilst wearing
Shiny armour.But now I know that hero's aren't
Those who defeat dragons and
Rescue princesses from tall towers
They don't wear shiny armour.
In fact they wear no armour at all
That's because a hero is someone
Who wakes up every morning
To fight the same demons
They couldn't slay last night.
A hero doesn't wait for someone
To rescue them, they rescue
Themselves. We are all the
Hero's in our own story,
Always remember that.I'm so sorry I haven't posted in ages, I've been really busy. I have been focusing on my new poetry book - called Messages in a Bottle - and I have been focusing on my blog on Instagram - called diary.of.a.suicidal.teen
But I'm back now and I will try to keep updating. It would be wonderful if you could vote and comment (I know this isn't one of my best poems sorry) 💚💚
