I wake up that day with an uneasy feeling. It felt like I hadn't slept at all. I'm exhausted. With one last bit of energy I can pull together, I lift my body up and pull the covers away from me. I stand up.

Taking a few steps forward I look into a small mirror on my wall. I see my eyes, they look puffy and red. Tucking my hair behind my ear, I let out a sigh, as I disgusted myself with how awful I look.

The next thing I do is look for my phone. After last night's fight I tossed it somewhere with anger so it could be anywhere and severely damaged.

I can't help feeling dizziness as I walk to the corner of my room, where I see my phone.

"I'm tired of this! Tired!". Scenes from last night run through my mind and I shake them away. Enough of this, enough of him.

Slowly, I lean down and grab my phone, turning to see how big was the damage. Surprisingly, it hadn't even cracked. In compensation it had nearly no battery, though enough to check my missed calls.

Zero.

He didn't even send me a damn text to check if I was okay, that jerk. And to think that one day I actually thought he cared about me. How stupid.

I shake my head and put my phone to charge. If he doesn't care about me then why should I? Just forget him Crystal.

"Crystal!" My mom yells from downstairs.

I choose to ignore her, simply because my throat hurts too much for me to yell back.

"Crystal!" She yells again. I take a deep breath, knowing she wasn't going to shut up any soon. I shut my eyes closed.

"I'm up!" I shout. It hurt, it really did.

I apply some foundation to get rid of the small bags under my eyes. No one needs to know I had the worst night do they?

After choosing a simple, yet comfortable outfit I go downstairs, where my mom waits for me with breakfast. I don't have the guts to tell her how not hungry I am. I know she would probably say I had to eat it anyway so instead of wasting my time I just take my place and throw it all in, hoping my body doesn't spill it out later.

"You're late," She mutters flipping a page of the new's paper, "Again."

"I know," I say back, getting up. "I'm leaving now."

I get my house's keys and my backpack, carrying it all outside and shutting the door right after.

I check the time, it's late. I start speeding up until I'm running. I run and run until my school's gate stands in front of me.

I now run through the empty school's hallways. Everyone must be in class right now. When I reach mine I don't even knock before barging in, my heart almost jumping out of my chest of how hard it beats. I look at everyone.

"9:05," says my friend Ron with a tone of mock, "I knew she wouldn't make it."

The class chuckles and I glare at him, sticking my tongue out. I move myself to take a seat near the window. As I pass by the teacher I don't bother looking at him. I knew he had that warning look on his face and I think I've seen this look way too many times.

I throw my bag on the floor and my body relaxes when I sit. I could finally feel my breathing going back to normal again. Then someone taps my arm.

I look over from my shoulder to my friend Jenna, who is sitting right behind me. She leans on her table to get closer.

"Look at your right, the new kid arrived today." She whispers.

My eyes travel around the class and land on a light skinned boy with brown hair. He looks at me but quickly looks away. I smirk looking back to the front of the class, where Mr. Lore frantically writes on the blackboard.
