(Flashback)

"Crystal, calm down. It's okay, I'm here. It was just a dream." His soft voice sounded like harmony to me.

My body shakes as I heavily breathe. I slowly look at him, he's looking down at me concerned. A sob escapes my mouth as I curl up on the bed. I feel a careful touch of his. He wraps his strong, yet delicate arms around me and I move my head towards his chest, resting it there. I can listen to his heartbeat. It wasn't beating as fast as mine was, it was calm. Yes, very calm. That night, that heart beat saved me. It calmed me. It made me feel better, protected. It was like nothing could harm me for that one moment. No bad dreams could scare me anymore. I was safe.

"I love you Steve." I whisper, not sure if he was still awake.

Then I feel a kiss on my head. "I love you too."

I slept peacefully for the rest of the night.

"Honey?" My mom's voice snaps me from my trance. I quickly look at her.

"Yeah." I say, clearing my throat.

"Do you want to leave now?" She asks.

Leave where? "Sorry?".

"To your friend's house... You said you needed a ride." She explains, most likely confused.

I shake my head, putting the pieces back together. "Oh, yeah right."

"Are you okay?" She asks, frowning.

"Yep. Perfect." I lie. I'm definitely not perfect. Specially after that.

"Alright. Well, do you want to leave now or not?".

I shake my head. "Now."

She nods getting up from her chair, reaching for her keys. "Let's go."

I knock on Nash's door, only to be greeted by Aaron Carpenter and his sweet, welcoming smile.

"Hi Crystal! Didn't know you were coming." He greets me.

"Yeah, Jack invited me." I explain, trying to retrebute to his smile, hoping I wasn't making of myself an idiot.

"Oh, alright. Come in." He says opening the door.

As I walk in the big house I notice it looks quite the same as last time. Neat and simple. I smile as memories of that night run through my mind. The amount of fun I had with the boys was inexplicably huge giving the fact that I only had met them that same day.

"We're hanging out outside, follow me." He says, guiding me through the house's endless hallways until we reached a big garden where all the boys sat on a table.

There was a pool there, a big one. I could only imagine the fun they must have around here. The mess, oh my god I can't imagine the mess.

A few of them look at my way and smile. The first one that caughts my eyes is a shirtless Jack Gilinsky. A very hot, shirtless Jack Gilinsky, by the way. Yeah, the one who I went out with last night. I smile back at him.

"Crystal!" They sing together, making me laugh.

"Hello!" I say back.

"Come sit with us!" Nash says, opening his arms.

"Here, there is a place next to me." Jack points out. I nod and walk over there. After pulling the chair back, I take my place in the middle of all those boys. I couldn't help myself to thinking how the hell did I end up here. I mean, seriously. I don't even know how this happened.
