Once I manage to stop crying, I find myself presentable enough to get out of the car. Took me long enough, though. I had given in to my tears in the middle of the ride here and they have been coming and going relentlessly since the first drop.
I try to calm myself by breathing in and out deeply for a few times until the pain in my chest felt lighter, that's when I fully exit the vehicle.
I look at my surroundings, it's been a while since I was last here. Looking down the green grass beneath my feet, memories of Ron and I as children running through this big space hits me hard. Two little children rolling on the floor, getting there clothes all dirty with mud. We couldn't care less anyways. My childhood would have never been the same without him. I own him every laughter, every careless moment of joy I had back then. Well, most of it.
I knock on the door, removing a lock of hair out of myself and replacing it behind my ear. By now, I'm not even caring if I look terrible or not. I just want to see him. Besides, he has already seen me on my worst, I don't think it will be any surprise to him.
Soon enough, the door swings open revealing a friendly, familiar figure of mine.
"Crystal? Hi! What are you doing here sweetie?" Katherine, Ron's mother, welcomes me kindly.
"Hello, Miss. Chester," I greet her back, "I was just looking for Ronald, is he here by any chance?".
She nods with a bright smile. "Yes, he's right up-stairs. Please come in."
She guides me to the house's interior, through halls and rooms I already know like the palm of my hand.
"You know, I'm actually glad you came. Ron has been really upset about the whole break-up situation with Lucy. You haven't come here in a while I thought you guys were not talking or something, I was starting to get worried."
That hit me hard.
The thing is, through this past few weeks so much has happened. Just today I have been through so much I ended up forgetting what's most important in my life.
I just hope he'll forgive me.
"I'll talk to him, Miss. Chester. Don't worry." I say to her with a quite convincing smile.
She retrieves me with another one, putting her hand on my shoulder gently. "He's so lucky to have you."
Poof! Another punch of guilt.
I smile. "I'm lucky to have him."
That part is true.

"Ron?" I call, "Can I come in?".
"Yeah." He groans back.
I push the door open to enter his room. I laugh lightly at the mess it is, I suppose Miss. Chester is taking it extremely easy with him because of Lucy. Katherine is a nice woman but she can sure be an angry one as well.
"Hey." He says looking at me, "Didn't know you were coming."
"Yeah. I needed to drop by for a while." I tell him, approaching myself to his body. He's sitting on his bed facing the window next to him. I comfort myself beside him.
"Talk to me, Ron." I ask him in a low tone, "What's going on?".
He looks down sighing. By now, I trust Ron enough to believe he won't hide anything from me.
Like your doing to him, Crystal.
Damn, I had almost forgot about that part.
"I'm just frustrated, that's all." He says, "Lucy broke up with me for no apparent reason at all. Just like that. No explanation; Reese has been ignoring me for a while now and I don't know why; You have been God knows where and-".
