The boys didn't win, but surprisingly, they weren't as upset as I thought they were going to be.
"It's kind of cool that Houston got to win for their city. After everything they've been through this year." Cody says, finding the light in the situation. He was referring to the hurricane they had suffered from a few months prior.
Chris and I both nod our heads in agreement.
"It really would've been cool to win it all though," Chris says, leaning his head on the window. "Especially after the season we put together."
Cody chuckles and looks at me, grabbing my hand with the one that wasn't on the steering wheel and kissing it. "Yeah, it's been one crazy ride."
I wasn't able to say anything because Chris shut me down with an over exaggerated sigh. "You can say that again Belli."
I laugh and shake my head. We pull into the parking structure of our LA apartment and walk towards our home for the night.
We decided to stay in LA for one more night before heading back towards Arizona. I had missed the place, and the boys had some stuff they wanted to grab.
We walk in, and I'm automatically pinged with that same sense of comfort this apartment always managed to make me feel.
"I'm going to hit the hay. 'Night pals." Chris says, walking past us and down the hall.
"Goodnight Chris," I said while he walked towards his room.
He turned before opening his door and gave us a robotic wave paired with a measly smile.
I laughed and shook my head. Chris was such an adorable, goofy and sweet guy, and it sucks that Victoria couldn't see that. I can't wait for Chris to find his Cody, except you know, in a female version of course.
Cody dropped his keys on the counter and grabbed my hand, spinning me around and pulling me into his arms right after.
I buried my face in his neck, letting out a small laugh.
"That tickles," Cody says, scrunching his nose and looking down at me with a smile spread across his lips.
I looked up and smiled in response, then moved my arms so they were around his neck.
Cody's hands slowly fell to the top of hips.
I looked up and kissed his lips. Without breaking the kiss, he leaned back onto the door we had just come through. He slid his thumbs into the front belt loops of my jeans, clenching the small denim straps and using them to pull me closer to him.
"I missed you," I mumbled into Cody's lips.
He lifted my shirt just enough to slip his hands under. Resting them on the small of my back, he looked down at me, his dark blue eyes make me want to melt.
Cody leaned down slightly, the appearance of the smallest smirk was hidden on his face.
"C'mon," he said, turning both our bodies around by grabbing my upper arms and leading us towards our room. "Let me show you how much I've missed you."
He was walking backward, holding my hand in his. His eyebrows and his lips were both raised with a smirk, and I could feel my face flush with heat when he pulled me in and kissed me hard.
I've missed this boy.

"It's boiling back here," Chris groaned, wiping the sweat from his forehead and dramatically falling back onto the seats next to him. He's been complaining this whole trip. Someone should tell him that it's only November.
