I woke up to my alarm at 7AM, alone in my bed. Jacob wasn't there, but a delicious smell of pancakes travelled over from the kitchen.

"Shit," I mumbled, realising I had a lecture in a little over an hour and needed to get ready. I got out of bed and stumbled into the bathroom.

I took a quick shower, remembering what had felt like a literal dream. "I think I love you".

I wasn't sure if he had really said it, or if I had really just been asleep and dreaming it. I guess I'd find out after I got dressed and met him in the kitchen.

Slipping on black leggings and a random orange sweater, I mentally preprared myself to enter the main area of my apartment. Surely, he couldn't love me yet? It had to just be how he was feeling after his first time having sex, which he must have interpreted as love.

"Good morning," I spoke, eyes landing on Jacob - fully dressed and with slightly damp hair from a shower - standing by the stove. He looked over at me, dark brown hair styled back with the ends naturally just a bit curly as always.

"Hey, I made pancakes," he smiled widely as I made my way to the island table and sat down with a very nice view of him.

I noticed the streaks of flour on the kitchen counter, and the little bit he had on the front of his shirt as he turned off the stove and walked around the island table with a plate topped off with pancakes. There were at least 12 of them.

"Wow, thank you," I let out a small laugh, mouth almost watering at the sight of them. Jacob sat down next to me on a barstool and kissed my cheek quickly.

"When did you wake up?" I wondered, giving him a small smile while handing us each a plate as well as forks and knives. His eyes shone brightly and happily, but still nothing about what he may or may not have said yesterday.

"A few hours ago. I couldn't sleep," he told me, stacking a couple of the pancakes onto his plate and pouring syrup over them while I only took one. "Oh? Why?" I asked, getting up to make myself a cup of coffee.

"I didn't feel like sleeping," he chuckled, eyes following me as he stuffed his mouth with pancakes while I started making coffee, "was last night, uhm- good for you?"

I shot him a confused smile, tilting my head a bit, "what do you mean? Of course it was, Jacob. It was amazing".

A relieved smile formed onto his lips as he nodded, glancing quickly down at his food. "Do you want coffee?" I asked, even though he didn't seem tired at all. He simply shook his head.

I made my way back to my seat, sitting down after placing my cup of coffee by my plate. "I'm so tired, I don't have any energy for Uni today," I sighed and rested my face in my hands, elbows on the island table.

"We don't have a lot of lectures today. We could just not go?" Jacob seemed a little amused, hand finding its way onto my thigh while his lips brushed against my jaw, taking me by surprise.

My body lit up, when he left an open mouthed kiss just underneath my jaw. "Isis?" His voice was lower, running through my body in the most satisfying way as I enjoyed his gentle kisses on my skin.

He still hadn't said anything about what I thought I'd heard him say last night. I guess it had just been a dream, and maybe it was easier that way.

"I can't miss my war history lecture, baby," I murmured. Jacob didn't seem too interested about the pancakes anymore, with his body now turned towards mine and free hand moving onto my back as the other stayed on my thigh.

"Oh," that hadn't seem to put him off at all, though, as he continued with the small kisses along my jaw, heading closer to my chin, "w-what about after that? We could skip experimental psych and get Candy to send us the notes..."
