"Raven darling greet your uncle Logan today! He's had a rough flight after that awful turbulence." The deep voice of my mother resonated from below the staircase where I stood above. I watched as shadows of people bobbed back and forth against the red paisley carpet of the lobby.
"Raven! There's my girl of my life how are you?" Uncle Logan's gruff voice stood out from the voices all speaking in unison. "It's all good. Charles is upstairs he'll be down in a while." Raven said.
Then my father spoke up. "Charles is here now? It's a miracle that he came. Your brother acts all estrange whenever we invite him over."
I rolled my eyes when I heard him. My parents should've known by now why I despise coming back here. Now they were all just being lovey-dovey as if nothing happened.
"Your cousins Hank and Scott are coming over shortly. They had to go to the clinic for Hank's dental check-up." Uncle Logan said.
Wow Hank and Scott. I haven't seen them in such a long time since I was fourteen. They were the only best pals we had in the family and their parents were bonvivant just like ours.
Oh and they also knew I was a homosexual too so it's cool around them. Well not my parents though when it came to that.
Bored out of my mind just listening to their stories to catch up, I trudged down the stairs forcing myself to seem condign on being here. Confiding in my own forced smile, I promptly stepped up to them.
"There's my boy!" Uncle Logan, dressed in a tropical Hawaiian get-up, came up to me and hugged me wrapped his arm around me; fluffing my hair up too.
He chuckled as he exhaled a cloud of smoke from his cigar. "You've grown a lot kid, nice form you've got there." He squeezed my arm. "You must've been very busy amirite?" He smirked.
I sheepishly grinned. "Yeah I was but it's for a change in life." I glanced around to see my parents all clad in shoulder padded tops and wild prints. Mom had the biggest change since the last time I saw her; she now had a big mass of teased and winged hair atop her head just like a pile of wool.
And I thought Morgan Fairchild had the biggest hair of all. Dad on the other hand still had the same side part. In the end, they still looked poised and high end like the last time I saw them.
Instead of greeting me vocally, both my parents smiled and hugged me together. I almost lost balance when they did.
"Oh good Lord you're here! We missed you terribly." My mother exclaimed."Yeah I'm here. But this doesn't change anything." I simply said. A fake smile purses on my lips. "I don't think you still remember why I don't really like coming back here."
My dad shook his head. "Nonsense, we completely realise as to why you never wanted to come back." He placed his hand on my shoulder. "We know realised we've been very harsh to you my boy."
I hugged. "Well realising doesn't change anything unless you guys do something about it." I said. And with that, I turned around and walked out from them to head to the back door.
Only I was stopped when I had reached the door when Erik's hard body collided with me. He was wet and soaked in water which smelled like kelp. I looked up at him as our eyes met like last time. He had his hands on both of my shoulder's to keep me from falling again.
"Woah be careful there liebling, you don't wanna fall and break your neck this time." He said. My cheeks burned when I saw his gorgeous physic up close. It was like staring at one of the gods statues by the lake.
I gulped. "I-I'm Sorry. I should've watched where I was going." I managed to croak out. He smiled and pushed back some of my bangs that fell on my face.
"I like your hair. It's very billowy." He whispered as he tousled the strands. "You look great with it."
"Yeah thanks... I-I uh I need to be somewhere if you don't mind?" I said. Erik nodded and slicked back his damp hair. "Of course, sorry for bumping it to you."
And with that, he was off to greet our guests. I was left there standing with mixed questions and thoughts in my head.
One of them is when I felt a hard feeling in his crotch when we collided.
