The first thing I did was throw my eyes open, gasping for air and coughing up really hard as I sat up. My head still felt painful and dizzy as I tried to remeber what the hell happened.
I found myself on my bed all dressed in an oversized shirt and shorts. An unfeigned feeling of breathlesness caught me off guard when. In short, I felt as if Ive been asleep for thousands of years which was quite alarming.
I found a glass of water on the table which I did drink immediatley. Maybe if I could ask anyone what happened I could settle this abomination right now.
I walked out of my room, carefully opening the door to attract nobody. I felt my body tremble under the tremendous strain in my muscles as well as my breath which did not help at all. I was like a walking mechanical toy with bulky gears.
Traipsing through the quiet hall, I noticed that there were sounds coming from downstairs. I followed the echo directly as I weakly moved towards the stairs. When the voices became clearer, there was tepidness in the voice of what came to be Erik's.
Not wanting to disturb him, I stopped and eavsdropped instead behind the railings. An unrecognizable voice accompanied his too.
"...I know, but I can't do this right now there are people still here." Erik said to the strange fellow. "Charles is in danger too, I knew this would be a great opportunity to gain his trust."
The strange man spoke. "So how did you gain his trust?" There was a short pause before Erik replied. "I made him fall in love with me."
My eyes widened as I scooted closer to the edge. The strange man commended him with a small clap. "Very well. Did you mean it though?"
What the fuck was going on? "Well?" The man asked again.
"No sir. I...didnt mean it." What the hell? I subdued myself from barging in downstairs with all my might but it was rather stupendous that I remained calm since Im a very vocall person. Gripping the carpet was the only thing that kept me from exploding.
"Very well. You wouldn't want that pompous know-it-all affect your plan." The man said before bidding farewell. "I shall return my boy. The Xavier kid is at your reach."
There was a thud and the sound of the door closing. I sat there on the top of the staircase dumbstruck from the revelation. How stupid it was of me to ignore all the signs that I was looking at the wrong suspect. Erik fucking Lehnsherr was the criminal all this time and I was too blinded by love to even see it.
Holding back the tears was the only thing I could do while I tip toed back to the room. It had hurt so much that he only loved me so that he could frame Raven for the incident thefore it meant that she could be innocent, but was she a part too? I couldnt just make up my own conclusions and blame random people.
But why would they conspire to sabotage me? What was going on?
I had to get out of here and fast. I suddenly remembered that uncle Logan had brought my cousins, Jean, and Raven to the fair. God knows wherever my parents were.
I shut the door behind me and started gathering my stuff quietly. Thank God I didnt unload my things from the luggages or I would be wrecking the entire room. I had to avoid more of Erik's quite convincing tomfoolery and call the police that we had brought in a fucking killer in the house.
As I slipped on my moccasins and grabbed my hat, I dragged my bag towards the door. When I reached for the knob, the door swang open and in came Erik with soup on a tray. The German's eyes widened when he saw me.
Oh God he's going to poison me. (But the soup smells so good though...)
"Charles youre awake!" He beamed toothily, holding up the soup to me. "I made you some soup."
His eyes trailed down my body and then to the bags that were behind me. His face dulled and dismay crossed his face. "Charles what are you doing?"
I felt the lampshade behind the door. "Not trying to get killed by you!" Next thing I knew is him falling backwards after I swang the brass object at his face. The bowl of soup shattered on the floor in a loud crash.
Erik groaned as he held his hands to his face. Damn his pitiful state! I cant be this guillible to apologise to someone who is trying to kill me. Instead of hurting him further, I threw myself out of the room and ran to the stairs.
But stupid me tried to jump the first step so I ended up falling down the stairs. It was a rollercoaster of emotion when I crashed headfirst onto the floor below. Thankfully, there was carpeting therby saving me from dying in the worse aay possible.
"Charles, Get back here!" Erik shouted from above.
