Chapter Six

After the boys returned to London

Harry’s POV

I lay in my bed in a deep sleep, hardly dreaming and breathing shallow. I was at the most peace I had been at in weeks, that was for sure. Somehow I had managed to drift off to sleep, which was strange because for the last several weeks I had been finding it impossible to sleep for more than a few hours. We had just returned to London less than a week before, and I had been staying in bed for most of my time, trying to gain some sleep (and failing) and trying to avoid Eleanor when she made visits to my and Louis' flat.

Of course, though, like all good things, my sublime came to an end at the breaking hour of three in the morning when a loud, dreadful ringing shot me awake.

"What the hell?" I mumbled to myself, rubbing  my eyes and sitting up onto my elbows. Who in their right minds would call at that damned hour? Angry, I reached over to my bedside table and picked up the flat's land phone. I fumbled to find the ON switch, but not before the ringing came to a stop. Confused, I switched it on and pressed my ear to it, trying to make as little sound as possible.

"Eleanor, you could have woken Harry, I told you to call my cell for calls like this," I heard Louis whisper into the phone. Since when had he cared if I was woken up? And what 'calls'?

"Whatever, Louis. Just stick to the plan, okay? Simon is calling you guys and the rest of your band tomorrow to tell you all about the interview Thursday," I thought for a second. That was in two days, why hadn't he told us yet?

"Okay, well what's my cue?" Louis hissed, he sounded angry. What had Eleanor done to piss him off so badly? I mean, it was easy for her to get me going, but I had expected Louis to have  a much less short of a temper with her.

"You'll be asked what your plans are for the next few weeks, then you tell them about how you've been planning a holiday for us for months now. You don't say a location, understand? You'll ruin everything," She spat at him, almost viciously. I could hear Louis take in a deep breath.

"Can you tell me, honestly, what  purpose this actually serves?" Louis asked her.

"Its  a confirmation that we're dating, it'll make it more believable. Don't complain to me, complain to Simon," she said.

More believable? What the hell was she talking about?

"Bye," Louis grumbled and I heard the line go dead, mutually. I switched the phone off and laid down. Louis was going on holiday with Eleanor? For a few weeks? How could he not have told any of us that he's just going to up and leave us behind?

I sat up in my bed, swinging my feet over the edge. The chilled air in my room slapped my bare skin as the blankets slipped off of me, making me wince. My head was spinning with confusion. What had I just heard? Why was Eleanor talking business with Louis? I rested my head in my hands, trying to stop the room from circling around me. I glanced at the clock next to my bed, it was now half last three.

I needed to talk to Louis, to ask for an explanation. Since when did Eleanor become in charge of our band, since when did she know about events before we did?  But I couldn't ask him, not yet. He hated me, and the last thing I wanted to do was piss him off even more. I thought back to the night before.
