Chapter 17

Stan’s POV

It felt like old times having Louis back. I missed our sleepovers so much. The ones where we would stay up all night watching One Tree Hill and eating everything in his kitchen. I always sort of pictured us like Shaggy and Scooby. We never solved mysteries or any of that cool shit, but we were tight pals like them. So, I was stoked that Jay let me stay the night, considering she'd sent me home the night before because it was his 'first night home and he needed a good night's rest'.

It wasn't exactly like the old times, though. Louis was spaced out. I'd noticed he had been that way a lot lately. Distant, quiet, and even sad looking. Which, from years and years of knowledge, what NOT how Louis acted on a regular basis. When I raided his cupboards for snacks (scooby snacks if you're interested in taking my Shaggy/Scooby metaphor into consideration), he hardly dipped into what I'd collected for us, and he closed his eyes during season three of One Tree Hill, but I'm almost positive that he wasn't sleeping.

I acted as normal as possible around him, though. I didn't know how to act any other way around Louis. We'd never been the type of friends who have deep conversations and talk about mushy gushy feelings and what not. I just let him be and carried on as my hunky-dory self. I mean, if he saw me acting normal maybe he would forget about whatever was bothering him, right?

I bet you could imagine my surprise when Louis paused the T.V.  and turned to face me with a serious expression. I was half expecting him to burst out laughing, jabbing me in the gut chanting "Gotcha! You thought I was upset!" but it never happened.

"Listen, mate. I haven't even told my own mum what I'm about to tell you." My eyebrows lifted up. He's telling me something that Jay didn't even know!? I hoped to myself, for only a split second, that Harry didn't know either. I mean, Louis adored Harry... Sometimes it made me feel like a used toy or something.

"Alright," I urged him, motioning for him to continue.

"I guess I could start from the very beginning..." he said, shrugging. I nodded.

"That's a good idea," I smiled at him, but it quickly fell from my face as he stared back at me, completely serious.

"So during Xfactor," he started, swallowing, "I met Harry. And we got on really well."

I nodded. He was stating the obvious.

"And around the third week of the live shows... He kissed me."

My mouth dropped. Harry, kiss Louis? Why? Harry was the biggest chick magnet I'd ever met! I mean, Louis wasn't exactly bad with the ladies, either... But Harry?

"Woh! Is he, like, gay?" I asked, my mouth struggling to stay shut.

"That's the thing. We both are..."
