Chapter Five

That night, the guys were on fire. I had never seen them perform that way, especially Ronnie. He performed with a new passion,it was thrilling to watch, his voice was enough to send chills down Cruella DeVil's spine. As usual I was at the merch table and this girl came up to me freaking out.

“OH MY GOSH!ARE YOU MAX'S GREEN'S SISTER?”She shouted over the music.

I nodded as she squealed in excitement.”Can I get a picture with you?”She said,smiling like a maniac.

I thought,Sure,why not?So,I posed with her in a picture.

“Thank you so much!”She cried, hugging me.”You're so pretty and absolutely glowing! You and Max are definitely related!”

I laughed.”Thank you,but I'm still waiting on our DNA test.”

She laughed at my cruel humor as she payed for her wrist band. Glowing,I thought. Must have been because of the baby,I hoped that no one else could tell.

Later,Ronnie and I got some alone time when the guys went out to go party. Ronnie told them that he was tired and I made up some excuse about “girly issues”.I scooted closer to Ronnie.

“Ronnie,I have to ask you something?”

He looked up at me.”Shoot.”

I took a deep breath.“When the baby is born and we're married, will you change?”

“What do you mean?”

“Like..the drugs and drinking. Will it stop?”

He sighed.”I didn't think you knew about that..”

“You didn't think that knew? You don't...you don't even remember me being there?I was there every night at those parties making sure that you didn't get into trouble!”

“Dammit,Shay,I'm not a child!”He snapped.

“But you're going to be a father!I need to know that this will stop before I end up a single mother!”

He gave me a glare.”I'm not dealing with this now.”He said then walking to the back.

I sat down, trying to hold back tears. Ronnie was in too deep and so was I.I needed to know if he loved me or the drugs more. The next day,we were going back home and I was relieved I needed to talk to April and my mom. I couldn't do this alone,it was becoming too much. If Ronnie didn't want to let the drugs go for me and his child then there was no possible way that I could stay in a healthy relationship with him. I couldn't tell my brother because I would certainly not make it out alive.

“Hey,ginger. Missed you at the club tonight.”Monte said, ruffling my hair,as the guys walked in.

“Yep,you would have loved it.”Robert said.

“It was our last night of partying on the road, your loss.”Max said to me.

I laughed.”You wouldn't miss it. You’ll just be out partying with Lexus again tomorrow night.”

He laughed at my comment.”You're probably right. Hopefully, you'll join us then.”

I smiled. Lexus, right next to April, was my best friend. When she started dating my brother,I was a little stand-offish,but now she was very much apart of the ETF family.

“Nice,well.. good night,Shay.”he said,as they walked to the back.

Was it something I said? Was it about Lexus? At that moment,I didn't care I had bigger problems. I just wanted to go home and figure out what I was going to do about everything. If the situation came up later,we would deal with it then. I felt like Ronnie was falling out of love with me and begging to fall for the drugs. That night, sleep didn't come easy. All I could think about was the negative results of what could happen. But I had to be positive, right?Ronnie couldn't possibly leave me for drugs or get into trouble. Or could he?
