Everyday without fail, Namjoon would go to the park near Jennie's house. Doesn't matter whether its raining or shining or even snowing, he would be there. And every time he's there, he would take out his precious notebook and jot something down. On some days he would bring along his guitar and just play some of Jennie's favourite songs before he head home. He have been doing these ever since he lost Jennie to cancer 2 years ago.
Jennie Kim. The girl with the most beautiful cat eyes, the girl with the cutest gummy smile, the girl that can be cold and then 1 second later, be the sweetest person ever. The girl that forever will hold a space in Namjoon's heart, his first love, his Jennie Kim.
The first few months of Jennie's passing was tough for him. He couldn't eat or basically do anything. Everything he do or everywhere he goes, it reminds him of Jennie. It's because everything thing he did was with Jennie and everywhere he goes, Jennie will be right beside him. They were inseparable. All their friends knew how much they love one another and nothing could ever get in between them, until the day Jennie found out she had cancer and had only 6 months to live. Needless to say, Jennie was devastated because since forever, all she ever want was to marry Namjoon, have kids and grow old together. However, Jennie was the strongest girl Namjoon have ever known. Despite knowing she only had months to live, she carried on her life as usual. She was the one that consoled Namjoon who was so heartbroken and dejected upon hearing the news. She made Namjoon promised that no matter what, he would move on with his life and lead a happy life after she's gone.
Knowing they don't have much time together, Jennie brought Namjoon to all their favourite places. They went to the park near Jennie's house where they first met, the cafe where they had their first date, the museum where they shared their first kiss and all the other places that they went together. Namjoon remembered whenever they reached one place, Jennie would look around the place a few times and smiled to herself, and he knew it was because it may be the last time Jennie could ever visit the place and she was trying to keep the picture of the places they visited together in her mind forever.
Namjoon also remembered that one night where Jennie was just staring at him. "Ya Jennie, why are you staring at me? Do I have something on my face?"
She just laughed and brought her tiny fingers near Namjoon's face and traced the outline of his face. "I just want to remember this handsome face of yours and lock it in my head, forever." Upon hearing that, Namjoon just hug her and without realising, tears trickled down his face.
The last 2 months, Jennie was too weak to do anything. All she could do was lie on her bed and Namjoon would accompany her every day without fail. He would read to her and feed her and entertain her. Namjoon was there until her last breath. The moment Jennie closed her eyes, Namjoon lost it. He realised he was only strong because Jennie was there with him. But now that she's gone, everything came crumbled down.
It took awhile for Namjoon to regain his life back to normal but he remembered how Jennie made him promise that he would move on with his life. He knew Jennie would be sad to see him being all sad about her. Jennie would want him to be happy and thats what he did. He turned to music. All the songs he wrote was about Jennie. Thus, without fail he would visit the park to reminisce his days with Jennie and jot down lyrics about her. So till the day he will meet her again, Namjoon's heart will always belong to Jennie. She was his muse. She was his inspiration.
