It was awards season again and V is dreading it, as always. Not because he didn't want to perform or afraid that they wouldn't win any awards, but because of one person. The only one person that can make V feel all the jitters. He has performed in front of so many people but no one could make him feel so nervous except for her. Jennie. Jennie Kim from Blackpink.
Eversince they broke up 5 years ago, they were not on speaking terms and V knew he could only blame himself. He broke her heart when he left her without a word to chase his dreams. He knew he was selfish. Jennie deserved at least a goodbye from him, but no, he decided it was best to just leave without a single word and up till now, he regret his actions. However, it was too late. Every time they walked passed one another in music shows or award shows, Jennie would just bow and walk away and although it hurts, he knew he has no right to be upset.
"Taehyung! Hello! Earth to taehyung," V was startled and realised he was day dreaming while waiting for the award show to start.
"Yah, why are you day dreaming? What happened? Is something wrong?" Jimin questioned him while giving him confused looks.
"It...its nothing Jimin. I just thought about something. Its nothing important anyway" V stuttered for a moment before regaining his composure.
"Ah, okay then. Anyway did you see Blackpink walked past just now? They looked so pretty especially Jennie Kim," Jimin said while eyeing to where Blackpink was seated.
V's eyed widened when he heard Jennie's name from Jimin's mouth. "Yeah, she's pretty. Why? Do you have a crush on her?" V asked Jimin with a hint of jealousy.
"I mean who wouldn't have a crush on her. She can sing, rap, dances so well and is so beautiful. She's a full package. Even some of the seniors and juniors I know think she's perfect."
When V heard that, he couldn't help but feel so jealous. He knew that he shouldn't be jealous because he was the one that let her go and broke her heart, but knowing that so many people have a crush on Jennie, made V upset. It's not like he didn't know that Jennie is a hot topic among male idols. He even saw how some of them would look at her whenever Jennie walked past them. Its like who wouldn't? Jennie has everything. She looked so sexy and cute at the same time. She has that aura that captivates people's attention without doing anything.
Feeling upset, V decided to go to the washroom to calm himself. As he was turning into the walkway he bumped into someone.
"Oh I'm so sorry. I should have looked at where I was going," the person apologised. When V looked up, he saw Jennie. And when his eyes finally met Jennie's, he saw how startled Jennie looked. Before he could say anything, Jennie bowed and walked away. Before Jennie walked away, V stretched out his arms and held onto Jennie's arms.
"Jennie, please. Can you just spare me just 5 minutes? I need to talk to you." V pleaded. Jennie just stood there, waiting for V to speak.
"Jennie, I know you're upset with me and you have every right to. But please forgive me. I'm really sorry. I know I shouldn't have just left without a word. I know sorry mean nothing now but I just want you to know how sorry I am for hurting you."
"You're right, sorry means nothing now. When you left without a word, I still trusted that you would come back. But when days turned into months and months turned into years and you didn't came back, thats when I knew, you left for good. Leaving me and leaving our memories behind. At that very moment, I promised myself to leave everything behind. And i told myself that you have never exist in my life." Jennie was practically drowning in tears and V could not help but to pull Jennie in for a tight embrace.
"I'm really sorry Jennie. I was selfish and I deserved all these but please can you forgive me." V was somewhat begging.
Jennie pushed V and got out of the embrace. Jennie just looked straight into his eyes and said, "Fine, I'll forgive you and put it all behind but from now on, just forget about me. Take it that I didn't exist in your life before, take it like we didn't exist. From now on, we are just merely senior and junior. Goodbye V."
Jennie then turned around and walked away, leaving V behind, who is crying so hard as he looked at the girl he loved walked away from him, forever.
