Evan's POV
As soon as I heard the sound of her shoes, I knew who it was. When her full body came into view, I'm almost positive the room temperature dropped 20 degrees. Her eyes chilled me to the bone. He voice made me want to run away and hide from the world. The only thing that was making me hold my ground was Riley, she was hiding under the bed. I would never leave her in a position like that, alone. For now I'm her eyes and ears. But I honestly, .. just can't stand seeing this girl.
"What the hell are you doing here?" I asked the girl. It's funny, I don't even know her name, but she knows were my trailer it. Wait, hold up. How does she know where my trailer is..
"Well, I never got to introduce myself to you." The girl smiled.
"I never asked for your name." I frowned.
Riley's POV
I had to bite my own tongue to stop myself from laughing. The girl was getting so burned out there! And here I was thinking Evan was a flirt. I focused back on the girl and Evan.
"Yeah.. it's because your shy." The girl said. Talk about over confident. But for some weird reason, something about this girl.. just seemed, well, OFF? Yeah, that's it, off. How the hell did she know where Evan and I were staying on the train..? Like seriously! How does Evan even know her..?
"No, I'm not shy. When I asked for directions to the cafeteria, it wasn't so I could talk to you. It was so I could get a meal." Evan said with distaste. Oh I get it now! I took one quiet breath and held in my breath again. I'm not really sure why I keep doing that, it's just a girl. Right? There was this part of me that seriously wanted to shoot her on the spot.
"Sure. That's definatly the reason," The girl smirked and pushed her way into our room. She looked around, so I crouched closer to the wall, so that she wouldn't see me. "so where's this girl you were telling me about?"
"Look, I don't know what the hell you want. But I sure as hell know what I want, I want you to get out of my trailer. And I seriously mean it, get the frack out." Evan's hand shifted into a fist.
"You sure that's what you want?" The girl smiled as she put her hands around Evan's neck. Evan didn't even look like he was enjoying it. He only dates girls who aren't insecure! Cassidy's words rang in my ears. Maybe he isn't a player.. Maybe I got him all wrong. I looked away from the gap, only to think. Maybe he isn't.. isn't as bad as I thought he was? My mouth opened up slowly, he. isn't. a. player. He's.. the boy.. I actually.. think I have feelings for.
I looked back at the gap, and saw the girl.. moving closer to Evan. My Evan! My lip began to quiver. Why am I so jealous? Is it because she's so much prettier than me? Because she's so forward with guys and I'm not? Or .. am I actually jealous.. and I'm just over reacting.
"Yeah seriously, stop touching me." Evan warned. The girl really had no effect to being rejected by Evan. She just kissed him on the cheek and softly said something I couldn't hear from my hiding spot.
Evan's POV
"My name is April Tracks," April whispered, "there are armed men outside. They're plan is to try out the new solution of the Kick Start into you. I am a double agent of the DDD SA's. My badge number is 200312. I trust that you understand the situation I'm in. Sorry for lieing. But as soon as I heard Riley's name.. it was my duty to protect her."
April pulled away. An apologetic look on her face. Is she for real? I had every urge to flicker my eyes off to Riley, but if I do.. It would give away her hiding spot. If this girl was lieing than Riley's hiding spot would be blown. Maybe if I talked code with her.. I could know for real she's an agent.
