I got off the bus and walked into Shrew Elementary, the same elementry I've been going to for 4 years now. I knew every hall by heart, I know where all the classrooms are, everything. I walked up to the 4th grade hall, looking for the room number 555. Lots of little kids were walking around, so being about 5ft in a school full of midgets was never fun. I'm constantly trying not to bump into smaller kids. I turned the corner and looked to my right, classroom 555. I walked in, the white board read Hello! Please find your seat with your name taped onto it. Leave everything at your seat and wait for announcements.. I did as the board read and looked around the room for my seat. Right next to the teacher's desk.. I wasn't a bad kid, but I did things I wasn't supposed to most of the time (drawing in class, playing on IPad etc). I put my bag on the back of the chair and watched the other kids walk in. I knew some of them from past years. In elementry, you travel with the same group of kids, just the classes they're in are always scrambled.

After the announcements were over and everyone was here, I looked who I was sitting by. To my right was a kid named Casher. That's what the name tag on his desk read at least. To my left was Cameron. He was one of the more popular kids, so I didn't have to read his name tag to figure him out. "Okay, I'm Mr Smith, I will be teaching all subjects to all of you, so we won't be switching to other rooms. Right now we're going to go through supplies, and then I'll pass out s few things, and we'll get started!" The teacher announced. He was actually the only male teacher in the school.

After we went over the supplies list, Mr Smith passed out mini white boards to each kid. Looking across the room, I saw 2 kids exchange a short word or so and trade boards. I couldn't hear what they were saying though. I looked at the board I had gotten. It was perfectly white with no chips on corners or anything!

"I'm passing out a paper, all of you get out a pencil. You'll be going around the room asking people if they've done these things in each box. Example if somebody has read over 60 books over the summer, they would sign off in that box." Mr Smith explained while passing out the paper. Great, socializing... I never really met new people, just wasn't for me.

I felt lucky I talked to so many people and got signatures for all 16 squares. The easiest way to do it was walk up to somebody random and ask if they could fill out any of the squares.

The day was over as soon as it started, but tomorrow we're getting the IPads passed out! I was really ready to get mine back after 3rd grade. Their main purpose was Espark. I liked Espark at first, then I ended up isolating myself, and got to nervous to make the videos at the end of a quest. I couldn't bring myself to speak in them, so I stopped Esparking and messed around with my IPad instead.

This year, I think it's gonna go great.
