Hope you guys enjoy! Here's Chapter 2
"Wake up." Drew nudges me with messy and crazy dose of bed head.
"Just a few more minutes." I whine, digging deeper into the covers.
"No way, those savages Nate calls friends are here and will eat everything before we get downstairs." He warns me, sliding on a pair of slippers.
"Wait, his friends are still here?" I ask, sitting up, memories of last night polluting my thoughts. Colton, how could I forget about him?
"Yeah, why?" Drew asks, craning his neck towards me.
"Oh, just wondering?" I shrug, sliding on a pair of Drew's old socks. "Let's go before those "savages" eat all the food." I laugh, pulling Drew out the door and into the kitchen.
To no surprise, Colton, Nate, and another guy with dirty blonde hair are earring at the small kitchen table, stuffing their faces with eggs and strips of bacon.
"Guys, can please lay off. Clearly Belle and me haven't ate yet." he scolds the boys sitting at the table.
"Hey, Belle." Nate smiles at me and gives me a small wave. Nate's brown eyes crinkle at the sides in a cute boyish way and I wonder why Anna has never given him a chance. The poor guy has been chasing her for almost a year now with still no luck.
I nod courteously, returning the small smile to Nate. My eyes look at Nate for a moment before they fall into Colton's deep blue one's. He brings his finger up to his lips and winks at me, telling me that he won't say anything to anyone about what happened last night. I mouth the words 'thank you' before turning and grabbing the plates from Drew.
I slide two pancakes and three pieces of bacon onto my plate before leaving the boys to go find Danica, Drew's mother.
Like usual she's nestled into her favorite one person couch with the foot stand kicked out and two knitting needles in her hands. Just like me, her glasses hang low on her nose and her eyebrows are furrowed into concentration at the task at hand.
"Danica?" I stand beside her, waiting for her to finish.
"Belle, gosh you've gotten even more gorgeous than the last time." she gasp, setting down her knitting needles.
I blush at her words, even though she's probably just being nice. She wraps her thin arms around my back, taking me into her embrace.
"Did Drew show any signs of hospitality this time? I know you guys are best friends, but you're still our guest." she shakes her head, the thought of her only son probably in her head.
"He was fine, but still has room for improvement." I chuckle, falling into the seat across from her.
"Boys take time." she sighs, a small laugh escaping her lips. "So how are your sisters. Drew was saying that Beth was going to run for prom queen this year."
"They're fine and yes, she's going to try. She has a lot of competition this year." I inform Danica, taking a bite out mt bacon.
""Why don't you ever doing things like that? You're a beautiful girl." she compliments me, her voice soft.
"Not my type of thing." I shrug, mentally laughing at the thought of me actually doing something like that.
"So, what are your plans for senior year?" she asks me.
