We all got out of school and headed to my house to hang out. Me, Taylor, Max, and Jackson had decided to just talk in the living room and eat chips and drink soda. They would talk to each other about random boy stuff, while I try and understand what they were speaking about. But I feel like I have gotten used to it.
Since none of us was very busy all the time we usually did this every other day. If we really wanted to do something we would just take the subway to downtown Brooklyn and hang out there. But since we all are super lazy and don't like the outdoors we rather just stay in my apartment.
My parents wouldn't care either way anyways, if I went out or not. They didn't care about me or what happens to me. They knew what I was going through in school, that I was being harassed at school by the boys, but they did nothing about it. And not to mention my dad acts the same way as the boys, always trying to make a move on me. I didn't even feel safe in my own house alone. And because of this I thought it would be a good chance to learn some self-defense skills, just encase the unthinkable happens. I wouldn't use them often though, only when it was 100% necessary in the situation.
"Did anything happen to you guys today." I asked trying to start the conversation.
All they did was nod, which was nothing new. This was something we already knew wasn't going to have any good news in our days.
Max cleared his throat getting our attention. "As usual I got teased for looking like a kid in school. But what really pissed me off was that, while I was walking to school, this morning some old hag had asked me if I lost my mommy and daddy." His face was filled with furry at the reminder of that person. This was something about Max that every one of us liked.
He wasn't really the type to hid anything from people he actually trusts. So, he would just tell everyone what he was thinking. But that doesn't mean he is an extrovert. He still has many things he hides from us. And it is so painfully obvious when he does, to be honest he is the worst at lying and hiding stuff from people.
"Well that wouldn't really happen if you didn't wear those clothes, and wear something teenager-like and not what a 5-year-old would wear." Taylor said
"What..... are you saying you have a problem with my style." he turned to face Taylor. Glaring at him for what he was saying.
"Yes, that's what I'm saying, you complain about all this and that but, I bet you love being called young and cute." Taylor said back returning the glare.
"Oh, I'm going to make you wish that you hadn't said that." Max threaten, starting to get up off the floor and walked over to Taylor with a murderous face, and hands in a strong fist.
"Guys....guys calm down. Stop making fun of him, Taylor and Max stop getting all violent out of nowhere, you and I both know that this will bring us nowhere." I said. They both settled down back on the floor and took a last loud huff, then stayed quiet glaring at each other.
Jackson ended the silence and started to talk.
"Nothing with me, just the usual. People avoided me when I tried to ask them how their day was. They just screamed when I grabbed their wrist because I really needed to talk to someone, I get really lonely when you guys aren't with me." Jackson said having a very pained face on as he recalled that time.
"You know you have to learn to stop being so friendly with people, learn to just be the big bad wolf they see you as. It would be so fun to see their little scared faces." Max said smiling at the thought. I don't even want to know what he is thinking.
I glared at him to stay silent and not say such things. He lowered his figure but not by much. He wasn't going to fully let his guard down too much because he knows that we all would take full advantage to it.
