As we continued running Max brought us all into an empty science room. We all had to take a breather and just sit on the floor with how much running we had just done. I know that might sound like a concern but let me explain we ran at full speed all the way across the school and I would say this school is fairly big, so we were pooped. Not to mention, that none of us were considered athletic. Yeah, Jackson had strength and height but he was nowhere near muscular or anything. Max might have a lot of strength, but he usually just hits pressure points, so it makes him seem super strong.
The only way I knew that he does that is how he moves to hit people and how he sets his focus on one part. That and also when he hits Taylor, Taylor usually doesn't seem pained by the contact. It might be me just over thinking stuff too. Who knows.
Once I looked up at Taylor, Jackson, and Max I couldn't help but think about the good old days. I sighed and just looked down. I then felt a hand on my shoulder and I looked up and saw that it was Taylor, "Why did you start running away from use Abby?"
"I honestly don't know, but when I saw Max and Jackson's face I didn't know how to feel, and I just referred to that day and I panicked and ran." I said honestly.
I looked up and saw that both Max and Jackson looked terrible, but Taylor hit their arms and got their attention. He also gave them a look that a mother would make to their kids when you need them to greet the guest or something. I directed my attention to the other two and they looked at me with sad faces.
Jackson was the first one to talk, "We bother are truly and dearly sorry for how we have been treating you Abigail and we don't even want you to forgive use all too much either. We both just wanted to say that and explain how it has been without you with us." Jackson then turned and elbowed Max to speak.
I noticed Max had a red face on and was fiddling with his finger and slowly raised his head and said a small sorry then stayed quiet.
Jackson sighed at how Max was acting but nonetheless continued speaking. "When you weren't around, when Max and Taylor had fights they got a little over board and I couldn't stop them, or at least that was until I told them if they continued I would get you and they stopped but then we would all realize you wouldn't come. There were times when it was only me and Max and I tried my best to lighten Max's mood, but he was getting too depressed and I'm pretty sure that was because of you Abby."
Max quickly turned around to Jackson and tackled him to the ground trying to cover his mouth but that didn't work. Jackson's height won the battle and pushed Max to the floor letting Taylor deal with the rest and he continued. "And Abby, without you Max was being very moody with everyone the people around him even including the teachers. You know how many times he was sent to the principal's office. But you have to see how he walks out the classroom when he does get in trouble. It was like a little boy who got yelled at by his mom when he broke a lamp and was sent to his room."
I couldn't help but laugh at the thought of that. "Hey, don't laugh at me." Max yelled out, but that just made me laugh even more than I was going to let out.
"Also, when me and Max parted ways after school he would somehow always call me on the phone and asked the same question every single day." Jackson said smirking down at Max.
"Don't you dare you giant." Max threatened but Jackson wasn't fazed by it and said it, "He would ask me if it was too late, if Abby will ever like him again, if he had ruined their friendship and maybe something more."
I was confused by what he was saying but before I got the time to think much about its Max got out of Taylor's hold and then tripped and fell on top of me. When I opened my eyes, Max was on top of me and we just started into each other's eyes for a few seconds until someone wolf whistled, and Max blushed fiercely. He hurriedly got up from me but then I finally got it, what Jackson was saying about "something more".
