Chapter 7: Mourning sister

Infinity Wars made me cry!! Also motivated me to write the rest of this chapter.

Why....
Why did it have to hurt so much?

The pain felt so sudden but so devastating at the same time, like an assassin in the night. That would hunt down and stab it's victim in the heart.

I wanted to doubt myself, I wanted to tell myself he wasn't dead, he couldn't be dead! But it would be pathetic....

And I knew better... then to feel that way..

The other half of me was gone, and I was just an empty shell with no meaning in this world. I could only do one more thing that would make me feel even a bit better.

I loomed over Ultron's corpse, his metal plates crushed and his wires burned. That was the least he deserved.

"W-wandaa.... if you stay... you'll die..." the omnic says his dying voice slurring as he speaks. Just hearing him talks made me angry.

"I just did... you know how it felt.." my voice turned bitter and cold, as my red hex coiled around my fingers blooming into Ultron's chest, tearing his metal parts up and ripped out his damn heart.

"It felt... like that..."

I stood up holding the wretched core of the robot. So... disgusting, I throw to the ground and crush it under my heels. I sigh in relief, what do I do now?

Pebbles shake as the ground starts to rumble. The core, one of his clones must've gotten to it. In just a few minutes, this town will be crushed into nothing.

Along with me.

I laugh, tears streaming down my cheeks. Is this how I end, dying with my home, dying with my brother. At least, I won't be alone anymore.

I begin to float in the air, my knees start to ache the rubble and destruction floating over me. I'll get crushed.

But it's fine.
I'll be fine, once I'm dead.

However, my life didn't seem to slip away. Strong arms took embrace as they caressed my body. I turn around to see the red android there again, how did he even get here?

Before I could even ask, he flew into the sky along with me, taking my breath away. He saved me, why? Why did he have to save me!

I rip my stare away from him and looked down at the ruined town "Why did you come?"

The vision lands on one of the helicarriers from shield then puts me down. "It is my responsibility to assure everyone is safe, including you Miss. Maximoff,"

I stared at him, then looked down at the floor "Then you wasted your time on me..." I felt bad for snapping back at the poor android but, I was in no mood to apologize.

A warm cloth draped over me, I looked at my shoulders to see the gold color shining. Vision's cape? When I looked up to find him, he was nowhere to be found.

"Wanda...."

I turned around to see Clint, with a couple of bruises and cuts. His bow wasn't by his side. "I'm sorry..."

My heart drops, those two words already told me what I thought was true. I walked over to the ground to see him.

My own brother, with a dozen bullet holes through his chest. His blue shirt now stained red, and his face pale as his hair. I fall to my knees and cry, because that's the only thing I can do. How am I going to live now...

When a part of me is dead...
