In movies, why do people look so happy when wearing fancy clothes? For me, I look like a sad, very sad... mess.

I took a look into the mirror, red lipstick with my hair pulled to the side with a ponytail. Which matched my short red dress, but GOD! Why did I have to wear these high hell shoes!? I'm trying to walk not fall off a flight of stairs!

I sighed in relief as I sit down on my bed massaging  my foot from the wobbly shoes. The heels looked beautiful but hurt so much!! How does Nat run in these?

Someone knocks on my door. "Wanda?" The sound of Steve's voice comes through my door. "The party has already started, it's about time you made an entrance!"

I sighed, "I'll be out there soon." I say as the footsteps of Captain drift away. I walked towards the door, readying myself for the tremoundous pressure I was about to go through.

I took a glance at the mirror only to see my reflection, but not myself.

The music played through the room, my heels click to match the beat letting the chatter of people falter as my red dress brings stares towards my way.

I stare at the crowd, dressed in such expensive clothes which probably cost more than my apartment in Sokovia. People started to whisper as their stare met mine's. I look down, trying to avoid their judging stares. Only to feel them burn into my soul.

"Is she the witch they say?"
"My, her eyes are red.."
"I heard she sided with the enemy."

I try to ignore their comments, how would they know the truth? They don't know anything... I looked around for Natasha, where is she?

I catch her filling up her drink with some other people she was chatting with. Maybe I shouldn't interrupt her..

Steve?
I looked around to see him laughing with some men in suits. Am I going to seriously suggest Stark?

I touch my arm, how can they bring up a conversation from thin air? I'm so awkward. No that I think about it, where's Vis?

It should've been easy to spot him, his skin color was bright red. Is he not at the party? Why was he allowed to escape this hell?

Speaking of Vis, I wasn't the only one they were talking about.

"I heard they let a child of the enemy stay here?" A women scoffs.

"What if he destroys New York city like Sokovia! I can't believe they would do that?" Another women replies.

I cracked my knuckles, "I can't believe you're still talking with all your teeth intact..." I whisper under my breath

Before I could step in, someone taps me on the shoulder, I turned around to meet a pair of green eyes.

"Ah Scarlet Witch, is that correct?" The man says carrying a glass of champagne with his other hand put out ready for a shaking. "My name is George Wilson the third." Ugh, another sliver spoon feeder. And what is it with parents naming kids with weird names.

I take his hand, turning my attention away from the women "Nice to meet you George," his hands felt cold and unpleasant. Is this how rich people feel like?

"I wanted to talk to you with the Sokovia mission which was completed two weeks I believe, am I correct?" He asks, sipping into his drink. I nod in response, "

"According to sources, it's said the Avengers saved Sokovia from some, robot?" The man laughs, my eyebrows knit together. How is that funny?

"Excuse me, but what's so funny?" I asked the man. Causing his laughter to stop "There were many casualties during that rescue mission, and I don't seem to understand how that's even funny?" My words must've reached the ears of other party guests who turned to stare at us.

"Oh yes the casualities, you do know we were the one's to pay for the damage. What a pain to be honest, and yet you called a success to your mission when the whole city collasped to the ground." George crosses his arms. "Honestly you weren't the only one making sacrifices!"

I was shocked with disbelief, how could such words come out of his mouth. "Don't say that..." I managed to mutter out, with my grip tightening and my powers?

I wouldn't blame them if they went a little... out of control....

"Don't say you made sacrifices, as if you would know how it'd feel like.." I scold at him. The red hex swarming under my feet like blood spilling on the floor. Reaching up to the man's leg,

The man frowned, certainly not liking my frown. "I knew I heard about you somewhere. You worked for the robot, what was his name Ultron? So you were the cause of Sokovia's destruction as well." He chuckles tapping his finger on the glass, the man was busy being smug he didn't even notice my hex crawling on his arm. "And your brother as well? I guess he deserved to die. You know what they say! The only thing monsters deserve, is going to hell."

The drink in his hand began to shake, "What?" He says. Then all of a sudden the glass breaks, the champagne spilling on his suit and shards hitting the floor. All eyes turn to me and some scream from the broken glass.

"HOW DARE YOU!! Do you know how much this suit costs?"

The red fury in my eye starts to glow in power, satisfied with the little game. "How dare you, I don't care how low you speak of me but call my brother a monster again and all give you a little taste of hell..."

The man is stunned, his hands shivering in fear. The crowd watches me as well, standing back afraid of me attacking them...

I shake my head, I don't need to take this! I don't need to stay at this stupid party and talk to these sick rich people!

In fustration, I head for the exit but I turn back to the shocked man. "My brother died so you and your wealthy folks could continue to live your pathetic lives... and sometimes. I wish he didn't.."

All I did was ran at this point, Nat and Steve were running after me as well probably to drag me back. But I would rather die then go back there. Everyone made me sick, to the fancy clothes and to their awful attitudes. How dare they talk about Pietro like that?

Throughout the tower there were only glass walls and locked doors. Nowhere out, nowhere in. After a couple of flights of stairs and passes of room.

I finally went to a room that was empty and wasn't locked. I sighed closing the door behind me, only the first two lights were turned on.

I looked around to see tablets and robotics equipment spread out around the room. I must've stumbled into Stark's lab, the last place I want to be right now.

I pick up a tablet which was lying on the table, how much do these cost these days?

The black screen shined my reflection, staring at me was my flushed skin, with a few strands of hair falling over my eyes because of my loose ponytail.

"I'm such a mess.." I whispered to myself. I put the tablet down, what would Pietro say.

"Meh, you were a mess to begin with.."

I smiled at the thought of Pietro's annoying comments. "He's not wrong.."

I sighed, pulling my arms around myself, "I miss you so much..."

All of a sudden a roar of electricity came to life as the rest of the lights started to kick in. I wince my eyes trying to adjust to the brightness, who turned on all the lights?

Footsteps walked towards me. "Wanda?"
