Human But Vampire

Part Three

Two years later (age: 15)
I rub my sore head as I lay here. Krul had just attacked me for no reason. All I did was walk into the room and suddenly I am being knocked against the wall. "Kasumi are you okay?" She asks looking down over me. I groan. "Yes." I say. She helps me up. "What did I do?" I ask. "You didn't do it. Ferid did." She says. I scratch my head. "And I got attacked why?" I ask. She narrows her eyes. "Don't question me." She warns. I look down. "Yes Krul." I say. "Come with me." She orders. I follow her and we head to her thrown. She sits down and snaps her fingers. "It has been four years since you became a vampire. Yet you still won't drink from a human." She says. I tense up. The door opens and I turn. A vampire brings a girl in and drops her near us. Krul stands up and goes to the girl. The vampire leaves and she walks towards me. "Drink." She says. I step backwards. "I can't do it." I say. She sighs and holds her to me. "Kasumi it is time you grow up and stop running from who you are. Drink from her." She says. I shake my head and step away. She sighs and drops the girl. "Kasumi you have to drink from a human. Stop being so hard headed and do it already. It will keep you from going insane and you will finally be whole." She says. I shake my head. "I won't do it. I don't want to be a full vampire." I say. She grabs me by my neck and tightens her grip. "You are such a pain. I gave you and Mika long lives yet you still are ungrateful." She says. I grit my teeth and struggle to breath. She finally let's me go and I fall to the floor. I gasp for air as I rub my neck. "Your thirst will get the better of you Kasumi. When it does you will lose control." She says. I look down sadly. "I will stop myself. I have to." I say. She sighs and makes me stand. "You will lose control Kasumi. Your thirst will cause you to drink from a human. No matter how much you fight against it you will lose." She says. My eyes are filled with sadness. "Here drink. You need some." She says. She holds her arm out but I turn my head away. "Kasumi if you don't want to be in pain drink." She says. Despite not wanting to I bite down on her arm and drink. My thirst slowly disappears as I drink. "You are under my complete control Kasumi. You can't resist me. Your are nothing more then my little blossom." She says. I drink until my thirst is gone. She smiles and rubs my back. "See drinking from a human is no different from this. The only difference is everyone's blood tastes different." She says. I drop my head and try to stay calm. She lifts my head and looks into my eyes. "You know I have taken a special liking in you over anyone else. I see you as a younger me. Then taking care of you for the past four years has made me feel like a mother to you." She says. I tense up and grit my teeth. "What are you getting at?" I ask. She smiles. "What I am saying is you are practically a daughter to me." She says. My eyes widen. She smiles and leans close. "Not just a daughter but I love the taste of your blood. It is so satisfying." She says in my ear. She then bites down on my neck causing my body to tense up. I hear her drinking and I close my eyes. She let's me go and I hold my neck. "Let's go. We have a meeting to go to." She says. I follow her as a guy gets the girl. We go into an odd looking room that has others sitting in a circle. "Krul it is about time you showed up." One says. "Who might this be?" Another asks. "This is Kasumi. She is my helper if you want to call her that." She says. Several of them study me. I am uncomfortable and she sits in the last open seat. I stand off to the side. Ferid is here but Mika isn't. I have no clue where he is. "Okay so the reason we have all gathered is to talk about the humans. They are growing stronger. We need to put a stop to them." One says. "Yes that is correct. The Japanese Imperial Demon Army has grown far to strong." Another says. Japanese Imperial Demon Army? What is that? "What should we do?" A girl asks. Krul smiles which worries me. "Simple. We should go to war. End this quickly and kill all them weak humans." She says. I stay calm and don't react to it. If I was to react then they would start asking questions. "Krul how do you impose we do that? Our soldiers would be crushed. The humans have cursed gear." A guy asks. "Send in our strongest as progenitors we each have strong nobles under us. If we all work together then we will crush the humans and stop them from trying to take over." She says. "Well you have a good idea Krul." A man says. Ferid looks amused. "When do we do this?" A woman asks. "In a week." She says. "Very well. Let's put it to a vote. If you agree with Krul." A man says. Everyone raises their hand. "Okay then it is settled. We will go to war with the humans in a week." He says. Krul walks towards me and has a weird smile on her face. "Come." She says. I dip my head and follow her. "Oh and Krul." The man says. "Yes?" She asks. "We are keeping our eyes on you. It seems you have been busy here lately with a secret mission. We will not let you get away with anything that goes against our laws." He says. She smiles. "Don't worry you have nothing to worry about." She says. We then leave. As we walk out and the door shuts she sighs. "Them morons. I will show them." She says. I am confused but stay quiet. "Well Krul you are cutting it close." Ferid says. She turns to him. "What have you told them?" She demands. He puts his hands up. "I haven't said anything. I told you I wouldn't. After all if I would tell them now I would be in trouble for hiding it for all these years." He says. She narrows her eyes. "You better keep it that way. If not we will both be killed." She says. She turns back around and walks away. I follow behind her. "Kasumi you will be staying by my side for now on." She says. My eyes widen. "What? That means I won't get to see Mika much." I say. She stops and turns to me. "What do you have something for him?" She asks. I shake my head. "He is my family." I say. She smiles. "Well don't worry about it. He will be fine on his own." She says. I tense up. It isn't him I'm worried about. I am to weak to protect myself. He is always here to protect me. "Come on now." She says. She leads me into the thrown room and sits in her thrown. "This is boring." She groans. I look over at her as she lays sideways in the thrown. I look down and think of Mika. I wish he was here right now. "What is going through your head Kasumi?" She asks. "Nothing." I say. "Really now?" She says. I ignore her and keep my eyes on the floor.
Five days later
As I stand here in the shower I close my eyes. Krul is making me go with her, and Ferid to the front line. I'm not all to sure why I am going. She refused to even teach me to fight and when Mika would try he would be in trouble. I will just end up dead. I turn the water off and grab my towel. I dry off and wrap it around me. I step out of the shower and start to get dressed. After getting my shorts and tank top on I walk into the locker room. I go to my locker and open it. I grab my uniform and put it on. As I finish a girl walks in. "Well hello Kasumi. I heard you would be joining us on the front line." She says. "Yes. That is what I have been told." I say. She sighs. "Be bad you won't last long. Your to weak to be out there. The humans will just kill you." She says. She starts to change and I start to leave. "Maybe that is why you are going with us. Queen Krul us going to use you to lower the humans out and after they kill you have us attack them." She says. I ignore her and leave. As I head towards the thrown room I think about what she said. What if she is telling the truth? Would Krul do that? I shake the thought away as I walk into the thrown room. "Good you are here." Krul says. I walk to her and she smiles. "Do you want to drink before we leave?" She asks. I grit my teeth and look down. "Here, go on." She says. She holds her arm out and has me drink. As I drink I feel myself relaxing. "So obedient." She says. After I am done I look away from her with shame. "Don't be that way Kasumi. You are a vampire. Drinking blood is what we do." She says. I don't say anything as I wipe a little blood from my mouth. "Come on my little blossom." She says. She leads me out and we head to the airport. As we get there Ferid and Mika walk up. "Wait Kasumi needs to stay here. She is not able to fight." Mika says. Krul give him a warning look. "That is my decision to make Mika." Krul says. He goes quiet and we all get on a plane. There is three planes all together. As we lift off I keep my eyes on the floor. Krul is on my right and Ferid on my left. Mika is on Ferid's other side. Nagoya is the city we are headed. I feel like something is going to go wrong. A few others talk about the battle ahead and seem happy about it. They talk about all the human blood they are going to be drinking. It makes me sick to hear it. I can't believe they love human blood. I hate even drinking Krul's blood. Images of the day I became a vampire goes through my head. All the suffering I have gone through since that day. All the suffering I have seen the humans go through. I just wish the vampires did not take over. I don't care if I would still be stuck with the ones who took me in when I was a baby. I would rather be stuck there then as a blood sucker. I am not sure how long I am day dreaming. All I know is Krul suddenly pokes my side. I look up at her. "We are here." She says. Sure enough we land and the others start to get off. I follow behind Ferid and Krul is behind me. As I get off the plane I see all the other vampires gathered. Krul and Ferid lead Mika and I to the front of them all and we stand off to the side. "This is not something to take lightly. We are at war. Don't let any of the human army live. They are a threat to us and must be killed." Krul says. The vampires all cry out in agreement. She tells them their orders and they split up and do as ordered. She comes over to me and I look down. "You will stay by my side. Mika you stay with Ferid." She says. "Yes Krul." He says. Them two leave and Krul leads me in the opposite direction. "You wanted to stay with Mika didn't you?" She asks. "Yes." I say. She laughs lightly. "You will be okay." She says. I don't say anything and we continue walking.
