Human But Vampire

Part Five

An hour later
We have been stilling here talking about random things. I am leaning against Mika tired. Suddenly there is running and Yoichi comes from the stairs. "The girl that had attacked them two is coming. Another Noble with her." He says. My eyes snap open and my heart races. Just as everyone stands up Krul and Ferid walk in. The others get ready to fight. "A few kids like yourself can't fight me. Especially if I am able to take out so many vampires and humans at once." Krul says. She looks at me and Mika. "Mika, Kasumi come." She says. I don't move. "No Krul. We are staying with Yuu and his friends." Mika says. She looks disappointed. "Mika you know the humans will only lock you away. Plus you need my blood to survive because you are to stupid to drink human blood." She says. I look down knowing she is right. "We won't let you take them. They are safe with us and we won't let you hurt them anymore." Shinoa says. Krul sighs. "Ferid." She says. He quickly comes at us. Only he uses his speed to get around them and to me. He grabs me and my eyes widen. Before Mika or the others can help me he has me over with Krul. I struggle but it is no use. "Krul let her go. Where do you think you will go? The progenitors know what you have done. You can't go back to the city. You have nothing Krul." Mika says. She sighs and grabs hold of me. "Yes but that doesn't matter. All I need is the two of you. After all you are practically my children. Once a vampire Noble Changes a human into a vampire, that vampire is like their parent." She says. Mika growls. "Never will you be our family." He says. She smiles and leans close to me. "You both have no clue how much control over you I have. I am your live source Mika. You both depend on me to live." She says. I look down sadly. "Mika she is right. We don't drink human blood and she gives us her blood. I don't like to say it but she is right." I say. "No. You won't control them. I will give them my blood to help them stay alive. They deserve to be free from you." Yuu says. My eyes widen and I look at him. "Well how sweet. To bad they will not do it." She says. "Just let her go. She isn't on your side." Yuu says. She smiles then bites my neck. It hurts and I tense up. As she drinks I try to stay calm. "Krul stop." Mika pleads. After a few more seconds she does. "You see not only do you rely on my blood but I quite like Kasumi's blood." She says. "Please I don't want this." I plead. She makes me look at her. "Oh well. You are mine and that is that." She says. Tears fill my eyes. I haven't cried in a while so I am shocked that I am. "Krul please don't do this. She deserves a better life." Mika pleads. "Mika shut it." She says. "Krul you know we should get going before the humans show up. They may try to stop us." Ferid says. "You are right." She says. "To late for that." I hear the guy named Guren say. She turns and we see him and several others standing there. "I can kill you easily human. I am the third progenitor and also Queen of the vampires." Krul says. "If I heard correctly that other vampire said you was no longer Queen." He says. She grits her teeth and growls. She tightens her grip on my neck. "Let the girl go." He says. "Don't tell me what to do. I gave her immortality so I can do what I want with her. She is under my control." Krul says. He narrows his eyes. "You know I have been wondering something. All vampires I have seen have weapons. Why does she not have one?" He asks. Krul laughs. "I kept her from being able to defend herself so that I could control her easier. She is nothing more then a little pet that doesn't need to know how to fight. That way she has to depend on me." She answers. "Well not any longer." He says. He says a name and his sword has a dark object come from it. "Ferid." Krul says. Just as the object attacks Ferid steps in front of us. Only the attack instantly kills him. "Well what a waste. I was starting to not get irritated by him." She says. She shrugs and looks at Guren. "It is time to die human." She says. She goes to attack but her eyes grow wide. Blood drips from her mouth and her hand let's my neck go. I fall to the floor and gasp for air. I look up to see Mika has his sword in Krul's back. "For four years me and Kasumi have suffered from thirst. For eight years I have suffered from being trapped with you blood suckers. You ruined my life, Kasumi's life, and so many others. It is over Krul. Kasumi and I are not your puppets anymore." He growls. He pulls his sword from her and she stumbles. She turns to him with a shocked look. "How could you?" She says. She falls to her knees and looks down at where blood is flowing from her chest. I ignore the instinct to drink her blood. Mika holds his sword to her neck. "You will never hurt Kasumi again. Your life is over." He says. He stabs her in her chest and she coughs up more blood. "Maybe keeping you alive was a mistake after all." She weakly says. Her eyes close and she falls forward onto the sword more. Her body starts to dissolve and soon she is all gone. I look at Mika shocked that he killed her. "Mika you did it!" Yuu says happily. He runs over and hugs him tightly. Arms grab me and I tense up. I look to see it is Guren. My heart races and I pull away from him. I back up scared he is going to hurt me. "Kasumi are you okay?" Mika asks looking over at me. I don't say anything. He walks over and makes me look at him. "It is okay. You are safe." He says. I cling to him as tears fall from my eyes. "I'm scared Mika. What is going to happen now?" I ask. He holds me tightly. "It will be okay. I'm here Kasumi." He softly says. "We need to get to the airport and meet with the rest of the Demon Army. We need to let them know that the vampires here have been defeated. Our forces have won here today." Guren says. "Guren please don't say Mika and Kasumi will be hurt." Yuu says. "Don't worry they won't be. That is if they pass a test to see where their loyalty lies." He says. "Okay thank you Guren." Yuu says. A hand touches my back and I look to see Shinoa smiling. "Come on let's get out of here." She says. I nod. We all leave the building and I stay next to Mika. Yuu is on his other side and Shinoa on my other side. I feel like something bad is going to happen. As we walk other humans watch me and Mika. "Hey lieutenant colonel why did you leave two vampires alive?" A guy asks. "They are not full vampires. They were changed into them but not fully." Guren says. "But still." He says. "Look they cause no threat to us." Guren says. The guy shuts up. As we walk I get worried. Mika keeps giving me worried looks. I stay quiet and keep my eyes on the ground. "We are here." Guren says. I look up to see a lot of people. They all look at us and some pull weapons. I cling to Mika scared. "Don't worry it is okay." He softly says. "Guren what is the point of this? Your orders were to eliminate all vampires. Not bring two nobles back." A guy scolds. "Don't worry they won't be a problem. They were human but the vampires forced them to be vampires. Only they still have a part of them that is human." Guren says. "It does not matter. They are still vampire." He says. "Look he killed the leader of the vampires. They can be trusted." He says. The man narrows his eyes. "Shinoa is this true?" He asks. "Yes it is in fact. Mika killed her and didn't even hesitate." She cheerfully says. She walks over to him. He sighs and nods. "Very well. I will conduct a test to see just who's side they are on." He says. "Yeah you may be leader of the entire Demon Army but I can't let that happen. You go a little over the top with that kind of thing. We aren't wanting to hurt them." Guren says. "What did you just say Guren?" The guy says. I breath heavily and cling to Mika scared. "Mika I'm scared." I say. He rubs my side. "Look I will go through whatever test you want to give me. Just don't do anything to Kasumi. She has suffered enough." He says. My eyes go wide and I look up at him. "Mika no." I say. He smiles and rubs my head. "What we are family. I told you from day one I'd protect you. We may be free from Krul but I won't stop protecting you." He says. He smiles and I look down. "But I don't want you to be hurt either." I say. "Don't worry about me. I am going to be just fine." He says. "Mika you don't have to do that. Guren will not do any dangerous test. You don't have to do the dangerous ones." Yuu says. Mika turns to him and smiles brightly. "Don't worry about me Yuu. I will be careful." He says. Yuu's face drops. "Last time you said that you was nearly killed." He says. Mika's smile fades and he sighs. "Please trust me. It will be okay." He says. "Mika are you sure you want to do this?" Guren asks. Mika nods. "Yes." He says. "Very well. Good luck." He says. Mika goes to leave but I grab his arm. Fear fills my eyes. "But Mika I need you." I say. He rubs my head messing my hair up. "I'll be back okay. Stay with Yuu till I am back." He says. I nod. "Okay." I say. He follows the man and I watch him go. Shinoa puts her arm over my shoulders. "Don't worry he will be okay. Plus you have us till he gets back." She says. I look at her and relax. "Okay." I say. I haven't ever had a problem with humans. Mika has fought some but that was because of Ferid. I look at Guren as he walks away. "Um Guren." I say. I hesitately walk over to him. He stops and looks down at me. I drop my head and get nervous. "Thank you for helping me and Mika." I say. He pats my head. "Glad to help kid." He says. I rub my arm. "What is it?" He asks. "Ferid was always a heartless vampire and only cared about trying to force us to do as he said. Him and Krul would have most likely killed us if you had not showed up. We owe you our lives." I say. "Don't worry about it. You don't owe me anything. All that matters is that you are okay." He says. I look up at him shocked. He is smiling. "Why is it good that she is okay? She is a vampire." A guy says. "Yes she may be a vampire but she was once fully human. Still has a part of her is human." He says. The guy looks discussed by me. "Shinoa you all go rest. Go with them and get some rest." Guren says. I nod. "Okay." I say. I go over to Shinoa and the others. They lead me through this place and to a small area. "This is where my squad is staying while here. You have nothing to worry about. Get some sleep." She says. "Okay. Thank you Shinoa." I say. She smiles and I sit against the wall. I lean against it and I feel my eyes slowly closing. I fall asleep in just a matter of seconds.
Next day
I sit here waiting for Mika. He still hasn't returned from the test that man is doing. I am scared and worried. "Kasumi!" Guren calls. I get up and walk outside. He comes over and I am confused. "Yes Guren?" I ask. "Come with me. I want to test your loyalty." He says. I tense up but follow him. We go into the main building and up some stairs. As we walk into a room I see others in here. "This is my squad. That is Norito, Sayuri, Mito, and Shigure. They will be helping with the test." He says. I nod. "Okay. What is the test going to be?" I ask. He smiles and walks over to them. "We will test your strength and a few other things." He says. I look down embarrassed. "What is it?" He asks. "I am weak. Krul made me stay by her side or Ferid's. If Mika even tried teaching me to defend myself we got in trouble. I'm not nothing but a weakling." I say. "We will see about that." He says. He snaps his fingers and suddenly the one named Mito attacks me. I am slung against the wall and fall to the ground. I push myself up only to be knocked to the side. I grit my teeth as I hit my head. "Okay Mito that's enough. Looks like your strength is lower then I thought." He says. She walks over and helps me up. He then leads em to the others. I see the one named Shigure purposely cut open her arm. Blood flows from the wound and drips to the floor. The smell of her blood comes to me and I tense up. I take a step backwards. "What are you doing?" I ask. "Do you want to drink from Shigure?" Guren asks. I shake my head. "No. I won't do it. I won't drink from a human." I say. I close my eyes and turn my head. I fight the need to do it and keep my eyes closed. "Well then you have past the tests. You have my trust Kasumi." Guren says. My eyes snap open and I look over at him in shock. "Will her arm be okay?" I ask. "It will be fine. It was just a small cut." She says. I frown. "You hurt yourself to test me. Why?" I ask. "So we could be sure you are not going to attack one of us for our blood." Guren says. I frown. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't be here. I should not have been kept alive." I say. Tears fill my eyes and my body starts shaking. Arms wrap around me and hug me tightly. "Don't say that okay. You did not choose this. You couldn't help what happened. Never say you wish you was dead." Guren says. I bury my head against him as I cry. "I don't wanna be like this. I want to be normal again." I say. "I'm sorry. There is no way to reverse it." He says. He let's me cry against him and doesn't move. After a few minutes I pull out of hi arms and wipe my eyes. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to cry." I say looking down. "It is fine." He says as he rubs my head. "Go on back to Shinoa and them." He says. I nod and walk away. As I walk down the stairs I wipe my eyes more. I can't believe I just cried on him. I really hate this. I walk outside and head towards the tent the others are in.
