Emily's POV
We went to this posh wine bar I've never heard of before. I felt out of place here because my upbringing wasn't exactly posh and I could tell Ricky felt the same way.
The conversation is flowing better than I thought it would, we have a lot in common. "I'm so glad that you decided to be on my team" he said putting his glass on the table in front of us.
"Thank you for turning round for me" I said quietly. I was trying to stop my hands from shaking, it was wrong to wear this dress tonight, it was so cold I felt like I was on the set of Narnia or something.
"It was my pleasure" he said smiling at me. "You look really beautiful tonight" I blushed. "Not that you don't look beautiful every night... Wait, what am I saying? Please ignore me."
I laughed. "Thank you Ricky, I get what you're trying to say" I said sweetly. He looked relieved.
We talked about our childhoods and our favourite things. "We have so much in common" Ricky said sounding surprised.
I smiled. It was true, we did. Ricky looked down at the floor, than as he picked his head back up something caught his eye.
"What are those?" he said pointing to the marks on my arms. Damn it! how could I forget about them? "Oh them? They're nothing." I said but he didn't look convinced.
"They don't look like nothing" he said holding my arms so he could get a better look. I had to tell him the truth. "I don't do it anymore but I was and still I am to an extent, bullied at school"
His eyes widened, he looked stunned. It reminded me of how stunned he was when found out I was eighteen at the blind auditions.
"Don't let them get to you. I'm here if you need me. Promise you won't put another scratch o your body." He looked straight into my eyes.
I promised Ricky and I was determined to keep that promise.
Ricky's POV
The marks on her arm. Never would I expect her to do something like that, ever. It just goes to show you that you never really know someone at first sight.
I made her promise never to do it again and I would help her. I'm still having trouble working out a to why people would bully her though. She's like heaven on earth.
We have so much in common, more than I expected us to. I was all over the place and no girl made me feel like that before, not even Lesley.
A/N
I know this is a dark left turn with the plot but I hoped you enjoyed it but do let me know if it too dark.
