Emily's POV

The day of the knockouts, I was so nervous but so excited at the same time. The song I was going to be singing was The Power of Love by Frankie Goes to Hollywood, I love that song and Its an emotional song for me because it's the song my nan used to sing to me all the time when I was little and it's the song I sang to her when she was dying in hospital.

I could feel the tears in my eyes, I shook my head and tried not think about it. My nan would hate to see me so unhappy. It's 6:30 am and it's the last rehearsal I get with Ricky before the knockouts. Its been two weeks since my dad called me and I haven't seen him since. I booked into a hotel because I was too scared to face my dad at home.

"That was a great rehearsal, Em" Ricky said smiling. "Thanks Ricky" I said smiling right back at him. I hugged him and went to go out the door when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around "Em, can I tell you something?" Ricky asked.
"Yeah sure you can Ricky" I said smiling at him. He seemed hesitant "it doesn't matter, I'll tell you later" he said. "Oh okay then" I said and with that I walked out the door, well that was weird.

I unlocked the door to my hotel room and jumped on the bed. I put my headphones in and listened to The Power Of Love. As well as all the memories it brings back, it describes the feelings about Ricky. I've thought about telling him how I really feel but I'm scared of humiliating myself in front of him and making things awkward between us.

I listened to the song on loop for about an hour when there was a knock on the door. I paused the song, took my headphones out and walked to the door. When I opened the door, standing opposite me was Ricky's 7 year old sister, Georgia. "Emily!!" Georgia screamed at me and ran full charge at me. She jumped on me, nearly knocking me over.

"Hey little one, where's Ricky?" I asked while carrying Georgia to the bed. "Ricky isn't here, I came here by myself." Georgia said proudly while crossing her arms. My eyes widened, she's a bright seven year old. She has only been twice, how does she remember where to go?

"Does Ricky know you're here?" I asked, crouching in front of her. She shook her head "I don't want to go home Emily, I want to stay here with you" Georgia said, almost in tears.
"I know darling but Ricky would be worried about you." I hugged her and texted Ricky "Hey Ricky, Georgia's with me. I'll bring her over now." I sent the text and got my shoes on.

I picked her up and carried her to Ricky's hotel room. Georgia was crying and screaming all the way there. I knocked on his door, Ricky opened it straight away and looked relieved. "Thanks Em, you're a lifesaver." He took Georgia. "You had me so worried" he said in Georgia's ear.

I hugged Georgia and kissed her on the forehead. I turned to walk away when Ricky called out to me "do you want a lift to the studio?" I considered just going by myself but I was too tired to drive. "Yeah okay" I said and got into the car with Ricky and Georgia.

We stopped outside he studio an Ricky squeezed my hand before getting out of the car and getting Georgia out of the back seat. Georgia will stay in my dressing room while the shows going on, looked after by staff backstage. Ricky's parents were on holiday so Ricky has to look after Georgia.

I was on first and I was really nervous. "First up is the Essex girl, Emily" and that was my queue to go. As soon as I stepped on that stage all my fears melted away and I felt like myself. This song holds so much raw emotion and I could feel tears coming to my eyes. "No Emily, not now" I thought to myself.

As soon as the song ended I got a standing ovation from the crowd and from the four Judges. I looked over at Ricky and he was in tears. "Kylie, what did you think of Emily's performance?" Emma asked
"That was amazing, there was so much emotion in that performance" she said tears coming to her eyes.

"Ricky, you must be so proud of her" Emma said turning to him. "I am so proud of her" tears were still streaming down his face. "You were amazing" I went to hug him before going backstage.

Ricky's POV

Emily was amazing, I was in tears. The time had come to make my decision. "Ricky man, who are you taking through?" Marvin asked. I've already made my decision. "I'm taking Emily and Luke through."

Emily and Luke hugged each other and then hugged Victoria. I met Emily backstage, I had to tell her. It was now or never. "Emily can I speak to you alone please?" I asked walking into her dressing room. Georgia was sitting on her lap. "Georgia, go and play with Will. I've heard he really wants see you." Emily said softly, her voice was angelic.

"I was going to tell you this earlier but I got too nervous." I started shaking, I pulled up a seat next to her. "I have to tell you this now, I just couldn't hide my feelings for you anymore. The thing is, Emily I love you. I have since I first saw you and will do forever. you probably don't feel the same way because you're perfect and way out of my league but I just wanted you to know how I really felt about you."
I took a deep breath, expecting the worst.

Emily smiled at me. "Ricky, I love you too."
