Chapter 12: Never miss a beat

Emily's POV

I heard giggling from behind me, I turned and Georgia was standing there behind me, staring. I smiled, that girl nearly gave me a heart attack. "What are you doing up?" I asked walking towards her and picking her up. "I'm not tired anymore" she said, her long, black hair falling in her eyes.

I sat down on the bed with Georgia on my lap. She insisted we watch Frozen with her. I laid her down between me and Ricky and put the DVD on for her. She smiled all the way through the film, singing to all of the songs in the film.By the end of the film she was asleep. Ricky went to out her back into her room and climbed into the bed.

"Where were we?" He asked moving closer. I smiled and kissed him, his touch was warm against mine. I cuddled up against him, I didn't want to move.

Ricky's POV

Emily looked so beautiful when she's sleeping. She was cuddled up to me and I had an arm round her. I was the only one awake but that didn't matter, me and Emily had a day off from The Voice. I laid as still as I could so that I didn't wake her. Emily's phone suddenly made a beep, I checked it for her.

The text was from her dad. "I'm in London, there's no escaping me now, I'm coming for you and when I get my hands on you I swear to God you won't see the light of day." He is not laying a finger on Emily, not a chance.

I didn't reply to it, I deleted it and put it back on the coffee table. I could feel the anger building up inside of me, he's not touching her. I will protect her, she's mine and no one will hurt her.

Emily blinked twice and rubbed her eyes. "Hey baby" I said softly.

"Hey" she said, her voice was smooth. I smiled and kissed her. "Stay here, I'll go out and get some breakfast for us" I said getting out of bed. I had a shower and threw on my clothes before heading out.

Being on my own gave me time to gather my thoughts, I couldn't get the text out of my head. I know for one thing, I'm going to get him before he gets her.
