Emily's POV

I woke up and my head was pounding. I had no idea where I was and why I was there. I looked around and Ricky was by my bedside.

He was looking down and holding my hand. "Ricky" I whispered his head jolted up, he smiled instantly. "Emily, I was worried about you."

"Don't be. I'm fine" I said smiling. I felt guilty, I must've worked Ricky (and Bo for that matter) into a massive state of worrying.

"I'm glad you're okay" he said. I sat up, still holding Ricky's hand. "You probably want me to let go, don't you?" I said,

"No it's fine" he said, I was really pleased to see him. I hugged him, I appreciated him staying with me even when I was unconscious.

"You've been put straight through to the live shows" Ricky said, still hugging me. I was so happy but then I panicked as I remembered what she said to me.

"If you go through and I don't, I will absolutely destroy you" I shuddered, I would be less worried but she already left me unconscious, I dread to think what else she would do.

"What about Amelia?" I asked, breaking away from the hug. "Shes been kicked off the show and has been arrested." Ricky said smirking. Her being arrested made me feel safe and relieved, at least she was in. Place where she couldn't hurt me.

My mum came bundling in through the ward door. "Emily! Thank God you're okay" she said hugging me. "Where's dad?" I asked looking at the door she just came in through.

She looked at the floor and I instantly knew where he was. I felt sick. My dad would rather drink himself into oblivion then be here with me. I felt a tear roll down my cheek and Ricky and mum came rushing in to comfort me.

"Chloe wants to see you, do you want me to tell her that you're not awake yet" mum said, this is why I love my mum, she understands me. "Yes please" I said quietly. She nodded and walked out.

I wasn't prepared to accept any apology from that bitch after all she's said and done. A female doctor walked in "no one expected you to wake up so quickly " she said.

She was tall and slim with long, black hair. "She's always exceeding expectations" Ricky said smiling at me, I smiled back trying not to blush.

"We'll have to keep you in a little longer to make sure you're okay than you'll be good to go" she said before walking off.

"Can I still sing tomorrow?" I asked Ricky. "I'll have to ask, but if you do take it easy okay? You have nothing to worry about when you're up there because you're already through." I nodded.

Ricky's POV

I can't imagine being Emily right now, she has been through so much in such a short space of time. She wanted her dad to be with her too, but the bastard was to busy drinking himself to death.

I was angry at him. As a parent you should be there for your kids, and he isn't. My anger disappeared when I looked into her eyes, her stunning blue eyes.

I stayed with her in hospital, I felt that I had to. Not that I minded anyway. I felt like this was all my fault, if I had never left the room she wouldn't have been lying in a hospital bed.

If Emily knew how guilty I felt, she would try to tell me it wasn't my fault but nothing can shake this guilty feeling.

Looking at her unconscious, she was so pale, she was pale when she arrived at the studio this morning and I could she had lost weight.

Her mum told me that she hasn't been eating and that shocked me more than anything. Emily doesn't need to starve herself, she never was fat. It made me feel even more guilty that I couldn't see it.

She wants to sing, she doesn't have to and she still wants to. I admire the determination of her, not many people have that.

She has automatically gone through to the live shows and I know what I have to do now. I have to protect her.
