Like We Used To

One

"I can feel her breath as she's sleeping next to me, sharing pillows and cold feet; she can feel my heart fell asleep to its beat under blankets and warm sheets."

October 24, 2016, PBB, Day 103

It's the ZomBig Brother Breakout challenge. We had  learn how to walk and talk like a zombie; it was all fun and I saw how it made our bond stronger.

"Uy, are you sleepy?" I asked her when we were inside the girl's bedroom.

"Konti lang."

"Tara, let's sleep muna." I said.

I lied down beside her; we shared the same blanket. She was humming a song and it made me smiled.

"You know what?" Ani ko. "You can be a singer."

"Di ah!" Tanggi niya. "I don't have a talent."

"Don't say that." Wika ko. "You can sing and act, that's a talent."

"Hindi naman kasi." Deny niya. "I'm not talented like ate Maymay."

"Kisses, may talent ka." Wika ko. "You're not just a girly girl. Okay?"

She smiled. "Hay nako, Edward. Binobola mo nanaman ako."

"Hala, no kaya." Tanggi ko. "That's a compliment kaya."

We ended up laughing. "Pero, sa tingin mo? Paglabas natin dito kagaya pa rin kaya tayo ng dati?"

"Oo naman."

She looked at me, "Promise me you won't leave me ha?"

I messed her hair, "I won't. Never."

She just smiled and a minute later she fell asleep already. I smiled while looking at her; napaka-ganda mo Kisses.

I can't tell her straightly but I do hope na nararamdaman niya lahat ng gusto kong sabihin.

Tinitigan ko lang siya habang natutulog siya. How can she be beautiful kahit tulog siya? How can she be so innocent?

Oh, how I wish I can protect her innocence. But I know, she needs to learn and experience everything; so that she can grow up.

Nananaginip siguro si Kisses. She's smiling, eh. Sana lagi siyang masaya kasi I'm already happy to see her smile like that.

"Baka matunaw, bai."

Napabangon ako when I heard Yong. He's smiling at me like I did something wrong.

"Grabe bai." Wika ko.

"Halata ka na masyado."

"Sobra ba?"

He just shrugged. "Siguro?"

I looked at Yong; he was looking at Kisses.

"You still like her?"

He slowly nodded. "She made me feel na may halaga ako, bai."

I sighed, "She knows how to make everyone feels worthy yet she feels unworthy."

"Ha?"

"Nothing."

"Sige bai, iwanan ko muna kayo."

Yong went out and I lied down beside Kisses again. May iilang strands ng buhok niya sa mukha kaya inaayos ko.

"I hope someday I can make you feel love and worthy." I whispered and kissed her forehead.

I felt my heartbeat; God. Yes, I know. But, you have to calm. I cannot tell her yet.. atleast not here.

I closed my eyes and let myself fall asleep beside her. It was too cold inside the girls bedroom kaya ang sarap din matulog.

When I woke up I saw Kisses face agad kaya my mood brighten up. She slowly open her eyes and I smiled at her.

"Good morning, sleepy head." I teased her.

"You did not sleep?"

"I slept pero mas matagal ka nakatulog."

She frowns, "You should've wake me up."

"Nah, ang cute mo kaya." Wika ko. "You look so innocent."

"Is that a compliment or an insult?"

"Ofcourse, it's a compliment."

She made face at me, "Whatever, Edwardo."

I laughed, "Let's go. I'm hungry na."

"Where's everyone?"

I shrugged. "I don't know."

We went to the kitchen and we did not see Maymay, Yong and Christian. Where are they?

Kisses sat at the dining table and looked at me, "I'm hungry."

"I'll cook ma'am." I said.

She smiled. "Thank you, boss."

I cooked for us; but I got shy a bit kasi Kisses was staring at me kaya naman binilisan ko.

"You stare too much, Kirsten."

She smiled at me. "You look so pro kasi, Edward."

"Well, perks of having a bestfriend who can cook well."

She laughs, "Right. Perks of having ate May."

"It's done!" I said and went to here. "Let's eat."

While we're eating; I looked at Kisses. Now I know why my heart feels home. Because, Kisses is my home.
