Chapter 6: Caught the snitch

After their near death experience with the three headed dog things seems to be more tension between the three of them. Ron sided with Harry while Harry dunno why Hermione was not talking to them?. He knows that it is because of their stupid adventure but he thought if they were friends again things would be good in Hogwarts.

They were chatting and eating in great hall(That is Ron shoving food into his mouth). "Do you think Hermione will ever talk to us?", Harry asked outta nowhere to Ron. Ron choked his food.

"Uh How do i know that mate?", he replied trying to understand what Harry was thinking." Yeah, how do you know?" he said grimly.

When they were eating at great hall a large owl came into view and landed a package in front of Harry. He wondered who would have send this?. Then he saw that, a letter was attached to it. There was a letter attached to it.

"This contains Nimbus2000 broomstick. Yes it is for you Mr.Potter. Now, don't open it in front the great hall . I don't want the other quidditch players to think that I'm showing you favourism. Understand".

Harry imagined the professor's stern face while writing the letter. "You have a Nimbus2000 to yourself Harry. That's good to know", a voice said from beside him. Harry nearly jumped from his place. He then noticed that it was none other than Hermione. "Oh Hermione, don't scare me like that.

He was so concentrated on the letter that he didn't noticed Hermione sitting beside him or reading his letter over his shoulder. "Oh, I didn't noticed you Hermione". "We thought you have stopped talking to us. Now don't stop that. It was loads of help to us".

"Ron, will you shut your mouth", Harry said slightly increasing his voice. "Hey, Hermione don't think about what Ron is saying, OK. I was really worried that you haven't talked to me".

"What ?, no Harry, I was not shutting you out, I promise", Hermione said confidently. "I was just thinking about the three head dog actually, What is it doing in Hogwarts?". "Yeah , we have to worry about that too,but right now i'm happy that we are still friends", he said and started to eat his breakfast.

Soon the day of first Quidditch match came."Harry you have to eat something", Ron said while shoving himself with food. "I'm not hungry". "You should really eat something Harry, since seekers are the most important players in Quidditch the Slytherin beaters will target you more", mouthed Neville sitting beside Harry. "Thanks for the vote of confidence Neville, Now I feel better", replied Harry.

Before the Quidditch match Wood gave his usual captain pep-talk to hos team mates. When Harry was ready to enter the pitch Wood came near him and asked "Are you nervous?". "Yeah", came the answer. "Don't worry I was too nervous in my first game". "What happened?". "Probably took a bludger to my head and woke up in hospital two days later", said Oliver.

"Now I want a nice and clean game", said Madam Hooch. And at once,14 brooms rise in air

(I just skipped quidditch commentory and skipping to this scene)

Suddenly, Harry's broom started to shake violently up and down. It became clearly to see that Harry is holding to the broom for dear life. "What's happening there Hagrid", asked Hermione nervously to Hagrid. It's clearly Dark Magic. Probably someone is jinxing his broom. But none of the children here can do that to Nimbus 2000. Hermione immediately got the binocular from Ron and started to see the teacher's stand. "I think it's Professor Snape jinxing Harry's broom Ron". "What are we going to do Hermione?", Ron asked her. "Leave that to me".

She started to run towards teacher's stand and came behing Snape ( Remember I'm not hermione to mention him as professor) and mouthed an incantation. Suddenly his robes were on fire. He didn't even noticed it until someone noticed it to him.

Mean while Harry became steady on his broom and started to seek out for snitch. Something gold fluttering caught his eyes ans set out to seek it immediately. The Slytherin seeker has also noticed this and started to chase the snitch. But he cannot match the speed of Harry's Nimbus.

Suddenly, Harry was standing on his broom without any support and stumbles fell face first to the ground. He looked as if he was in stomach pain.

Soon, he took the snitch from his mouth and was showing it to the whole Hogwarts with pride. He felt as if he had done something to prove himself in his life.

But his vision was soon obscurred by a mass of brown bushy hair. "Oh! Harry, You are alright . I was so scared .... When you are unable to bal...balance there I...... I thought you were.....". "Hey! I am alright now, see I'm having two legs ,two hands, one nose everything fine Ok", he comforted her. She nodded her head allowing herself to smile.

The people around them were seeing the little scene unfold and were thinking that they are going to witness a great friendship here. All the Gryffindors were now enjoying themself. Harry allowed himself to enjoy the party in the Common Room with his friends. He was enjoying himself thoroughly.

Finally... he was glad he caught the snitch.....
