Haven't been here in awhile. Sorry about that guys... I've just been busy with life. But that gave me a lot of thinking time for this chapter, so I'm sure it'll be fine. Have fun reading and enjoy!

(Y/N) POV

I started walking to the castle that looked oh so familiar. It's been awhile since I've seen this dragon before. I've only seen him in his castle when the carnival gets really crazy. And that means when it's night and the shinny lights are on and stuff. I wonder if he's nice? Or maybe he'll try to eat me... No! I ant think like that all the time! I've gotta be more confident and aggressive! I shake away my thoughts as I reach the tall, cream colored castle. From the looks of it he's there at the top, but I can't see his whole body because of the clouds covering my view... As soon as I spotted his tail it seemed to go into the clouds. Like he saw me look at him or something. A chill ran down your spine as you walked closer seeing the human sized door open slowly with a loud squeak. I blinked a couple of times making sure that no one did that and then mentally slapped myself while claiming it was the wind. I thought of Baroness Von Bon Bon when the door did this and walked in ever so slowly.

Grim Matchsticks POV

I was hanging around my castle just waiting for something exciting to happen while I lazily lay on the clouds. I usually hate how I'm seeable to the kids at the carnival with my tail hanging down and such. They get so riled up and I just can't handle the anxiety. That's why I'm not a part of the "Carnival Trio". With Baroness, Beppi, and Djimmi. They are better with kids, so I'm really fine without being in their little gang. Except the part where I get bored a lot, then that sucks. It is nice to have some company once in a while though...

I'm drifted out of my thoughts when I see a girl with (H/L) (H/C) hair whose staring at my green tail. Not knowing what to do I quickly bring up my tail as I watch her walk to my castle and go inside. What is she doing here? What does she want from my castle? Oh god is she a terrorist!? Wait no... that doesn't make sense, then the carnival would be in chaos. Then why is she here? Hmm... I guess it couldn't hurt to check it out. I then hid behind some more thick clouds to hide from her view and wait for her to come up into the misty abyss.

(Y/N) POV

As I walk in the castle I see a big staircase leading to the top of the tower. Yes there was a lot of more cool and unique items in this castle other then stairs, but you were polite and didn't touch anything. You spotted out that there was a thin wave of dust lying everywhere. Probably because he's a dragon and he can't fit in this house. At least not anymore. You continued to walk up the stairs that seemed to go on FOREVER. You practically almost passed out when you reached the top of the staircase. You looked around to see..., well, just clouds.

"Wait what? I came up here, from that HUGE staircase and to practically die to see this! I can't believe myself for thinking that dragon was up here. It was probably my stupid imagination anyways...". I turned to walk back down those painfully hard to walk up stairs when I heard a voice. "Ah! P-please don't g-g-go!" Huh? That's strange all I see are clou-Holy Jesus fucking Christ what the hell is that!? You gasped. The dragon clearly heard your gasp and said, "Oh! I'm sorry f-for scaring you... U-u-usually k-kids like me, s-sorry..." he finished off with the sentence slathered in guilt.

I stared at the huge green dragon that was looming over me. I processed what he said and mustered all the courage I had to talk back to him. "Well, it's ok. I just was expecting nothing to be up here is all." I finished nervously. "O-oh it's quite alright!" he said suddenly turning a bit pink in the face. I smiled as I looked at him do so. He was adorable, but for some reason he was looking really nervous. Aren't I supposed to be the one nervous? He is a big dragon and I'm just a human after all. I got shaken out of my thoughts when he asked me a question.

"S-so be honest, are y-you here f-f-for my s-soul contract? O-or just to drop by a-and try to s-s-see me?" I was stunned for a second. How did he know that I was here for his soul contract? And if he knew then have other people tried but... failed? I shivered at that thought and went back to staring at the dragon. "Well, you see... i j-just... Ugh! My stupid nervousness is kicking in!" I yelled in frustration. "So y-you are h-h-here for my contract. Well I c-can't let t-that happen! I d-d-don't wanna be k-killed by the d-d-devil!"

When he finished speaking he then stood on his two back legs and was now looming over me. "WAIT! I'm nice I swear! See how everyone else is happy? It's because of me and what I'm gonna do when I get all the contracts! Please don't be mad! I'm just trying to help..." you barley said that part because you were scared shitless of this dragon. Grim Matchstick then layed down with a guilty expression, clearly sorry for "yelling" at you.

"I-I'm sorry. I s-should've l-l-let you finish what y-you were saying. But you w-were talking about what y-you were going to do with t-the contracts?" he finished. "Yes! It's something that'll make the Devil cry in his sleep for the rest of his days! But... I can't do it unless I have everyone's contracts. I'm gonna fool the Devil and he won't ever hurt you again, you hear? I'll make sure of that!" I said with a determined voice. Grim Matchstick now had a nice smile with pink cheeks. He looked at me and said, "You know I think your the f-first human I've e-ever liked before." And with that he handed me his contract.

"Thank you so much! I'll make sure to come back in that case!" You were about to go down the stairs when you remembered what happened when you went up the stairs, you slumped a little. "H-hey, I saw you when you climbed up the stairs and I was wondering if you wanted a lift to ground level instead?" Grim said without any stutters, clearly he was determined to do something nice for you. "Oh! Really? That's so nice thank you!" you said cheerfully. He then flew you down to the ground as the sun was setting.

"U-umm, h-hey the sun is setting and it's getting dark out. I-if you w-want you could stay the night h-h-here." Grim said with hope in his voice. "Well, I guess your right... all right I'll stay." I said. His face lit up when I said that and he quickly ushered you inside and told you where everything was located. The bathroom, the kitchen, and more, but most importantly your room. You were touched by his kindness and went to you room to sleep. You had a window that you could see Grim from outside. He started to curl around his castle and rested his head near your window. You both said your good nights and then went into a deep sleep.
