2 - The Big Bet

Narrators POV

They were walking down a road that lead them straight to the Devil's Casino. It was a pretty big place with big lights outside of it. They walked in and lots of smells came to them. Mostly smoke and beer smells. They walked around until Cuphead went to a table to gamble with others. You didn't want to be alone in the crowd, so you and Mugman followed Cuphead to the table.

Cuphead went to a table so we followed. There were a lot of skeletons at the table all gambling. So we joined in.

~Time Skip~

We had won so many bets we lost count. We would all take turns gambling so it was equal among us. I finally got bored after winning so much and let the brothers have their fun with it. I walked over to the bar and ordered a water. When I finished I walked back to the Cups and they were around a large coffin shaped table. This seemed to be the biggest gambling spot, where you would get lots of money from others gambling. We never lost, at least not yet but I wasn't about to jinx it.

"Wow these fellas can't lose" spoke a man by the name King Dice. It was my turn to roll the dice. I picked it up and rolled it on the table. I got two six's. "Yes! Yet again we won!" I yelled happily. It was now Cuphead's turn to gamble, he was about to grab the dice but a loud noise kept him by doing so. "Oh my good gravy." I said to myself. The Devil himself! At our table! No way, this can't be. What in the name of inkwell is he doing at our table?

The Devil stared at us and spoke very gruffly. "He about we raise the stakes?" he said wryly. I shot a nervous look at Mugman and then looked at Cuphead. But he was to busy staring at the Devil with curiosity. The Devil continued, "You win against me, you get all the money in my Casino. But if you lose your souls are mine! Do we have a deal?" Cuphead thought carefully. I was so scared. I looked at Cuphead for hope but he was picking up the dice already.

"Cuphead what are you doing!?" I shouted. I'm gonna take the chance." he said to me. Mugman's face was so pale. He looked like a ghost and not the kind you parry. "Cuphead think about this. It's our souls your betting not some dumb toys! Think about us!" I shouted. Mugman still couldn't speak. He just stared at Cuphead. But then Cuphead did a stupid move. He picked up the dice and rolled it on the table. "Good gosh Cuphead no!" screamed Mugman.

The Devil's face had a large and evil smile. "Snake eyes, you lose!" yelled the Devil with delight. I was mortified. Mugman looked like he was melting right on the spot. "Now your souls are mine!" The boys were on their knees begging for their life's. The Devil was about to take their souls including mine but I said something quick.

"Wait! What if I did something in return that would help you in a way? You know like I help you then you let us go, kinda thing?" You were timid, you knew if the Devil even touched your friends you would die as well from trying to kill the Devil himself. "Hmmm... that's not a bad idea doll. Well I believe we do have a deal. You see I have a list of runaway debtors. If you collect their soul contracts and give them to me I will let your friends go." he said slyly. Your face lit up like a star. "But you have three days to do so. If you don't succeed you will work here forever and your friends will sadly die. So you better hurry up sweetheart."

Then with that he kicked you out the door and started laughing hysterically. The last thing you heard from the Casino was the cup brothers yelling to be let free and help you. You were speechless. In all one day you have played a game of truth or dare, gambled at a Casino which was the Devil's, and now had three days to save your friends from death. Wow, I can't believe what just happened.
