Chapter 5 Awkward

When I heard the door open I saw Kristina and Joey walk in and Joey had his arm around Kristina's waist.

"How did packing go?"

"Really good!!"

"That's good."

I saw the shine in her eyes. I wonder what happened while they were "packing".

"Hey Joey why don't you put your stuff in the guest room because you're going to be staying there until we move."

"Oh yeah um sure!!"

Joey reluctenly left Kristina. I stared at him until he finally left.

"So how did packing go?" I tried to say this cooley.

"It went............good. Hey I think we should pack up the stuff in our room."

"Me too."

We hurried to the room because she knew that I had something happened.

"So what happened?!?!?!"

"We kissed!!"

"Is that It??"

"Well he told me he loved me!!"

"Awww!!!" In my mind I was thinking something else.

"Yep!! Now I think that there's something that you were going to tell me."

"Yeah um don't freak out, but Nathan kissed me and told me to leave."

"He WHAT!!"

"Yeah and i'm really confused about why he did it too...."

"I don't know, but I will have to talk to him about that."

"No please don't! Even though he hurt me I still like him."

"You know you don't deserve him right?"

"It's the other way around..."

"I don't think so."

"Hey what's everyone talking about?"

Joey walked in and had a big smile on his face.

"Just about California."

"Oh yeah I can't wait!!"

"Yeah well let's go get the boxes out of the guest room for you."

"Ok..."

Kristinia left me in the room with a lot to think about. What should I do about Nathan? Maybe I should just wait until he does or doesn't make the move. Yep that's the solution!!! I stepped into the halls with boxes stacked to just under my chin. Nathan stepped out of his room the same time I did mine and we crashed in to each other. Thank goodness nothing had fell out.

"I'm so sorry!!'

"It's ok."

Nathan calmly started to pick up the boxes. I looked at him confused and still had a touch of hurt in me. He handed me half of the boxes and took the other half downstairs. When we got everything downstairs I turned to go upstairs.

"Wait, Ivy."

I stopped, but didn't turn.

"I wanted to apologize."

"For what?"

"You know what."

I did know, but I didn't say anything.

"I'm sorry I kicked you out of my room after we.... kissed."

I listened waiting for him to go on.

"I did it because I thought I had messed up."

"So since you think you messed up you kicked me out and didn't talk to me for the whole time, that avoiding me would help it? I was hurt Nathan and confused. You could've said something earlier."

I still didn't turn around.

"Ivy i'm sorry! I didn't know what to say! Please look at me."

I heard the regret in his voice, but I just walked up the stairs and walked to my room and slammed the door. Nathan walked up the stairs and knocked on the door, but I ignored it and after a while he left. We would be leaving for the airport tomorrow morning. Better rest up.
