Chapter 14 Lost

After Kristina woke up my back started hurting. I bent over a little from the pain. Good thing Nathan wasn't there to see that. I walked down the hall to the bathroom. I shut the door and bent over the sink. I looked at myself in the mirror. I already looked ugly, but my face was pale white and my eyes had dark circles under it. I looked 20 years older. I fumbled to open the medicne cabinet. When I finally got it open I searched for the tylenol. I dumped out two pills and swallowed them dry. I was still hunched over the sink. There was a knock on the door and I hurried to pop the lid back on the bottle threw it in and straightend myself up. This hurt my stomach a little, but it was nothing I couldn't deal with.

"Come in."

Nathan walked in and shut the door behind him.

"Hey you ok?"

"Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?"

"You ran out of the room back there."

"Well I'm ok."

"That's good."

He ran his fingers through my hair. I started leaning into him. He started leaning in too. Instead of the intense kiss I was expecting though he only gave me a quick peck on the lips. I felt confused and a little hurt. So I just opened the door and walked out straight and stiff like a robot. Was I losing Nathan? Did I even have him? Now that I think about it. All that happened was I tried to kill myself and then he saved me when I didn't want him to. After he did we had sex. it was as simple as that. I went beck to the bathroom to see if Nathan was still in the bathroom. He wasn't. I grabbed my razor and darted to my room. I hoped it would be slow and painful because that's what I deserved. When I was gone no one would care. Mom and dad weren't even my real mom and dad. Kristina and Joey would be to busy with each other and Nathan doesn't even like me. I hoped no one would notice that I was gone so that I could join my biological parents soon. I pulled the razor across both of my wrists on the ateries. I winced at the pain, but didn't let anything out. I realized I didn't close the door so I got up quickly and pulled it shut and locked it. I lay down on the floor because I could feel the energy dripping out of me slowly. I curled into a ball on the floor and looked at my blood seep into the carpet. Right now I really hoped I wasn't pregnant. Black dots were dancing around the room. To block it out I just closed my eyes. I heard the door open. I couldn't open my eyes. The person that came in screamed. It sounded like Kristina. She ran out probably going to get someone. I heard the whole family come into my room. This suprised me because dad was supposed to be at work. It felt like mom, touch my cheek.

"She isn't cold so she couldn't have done this long ago. She's still alive!!"

I heard Kristina talking.

"Why would she do this?"

Dad sounded really concerned.

"I will call an ambulance!"

Even Ryan spoke up.

"I really hope he's ok."

Ooops. I forgot he lived here. Well he would be taking my spot soon. There was one thing I notice before I died. When I died I flashbacked to before the accident.

*Flashback*

My mom and dad took Kristina and I to the park. We were only 9. We both ran to the swings.I looked around for my parents. I found them on a bench watching us. When I was sure of where they were I turned back to the swing. After playing at the park for what seemed like a few minutes, but was probably hours we went to an ice cream store. I gobbled down my ice cream and half of Kristina's. After eating we dropped Kristina off at her house. I saw Nathan looking over the window at us. When Kristina got into her house it was already dark. A teenager who was with his friends and probably drunk came around the corner. My mom saw them and tried not to let the car hit me, but the front seat. I didn't understand what was going on, but I knew my parents were hurt bad.

*End of Flashback*

I sadly woke up and found myself in an unfamiliar room. It felt like I was sleeping for days. I tried to get up, but tubes held me down. I didn't notice Kristina sitting in the corner of the room. I must've woken her up because she was blinking like she was dazed. She sounded angry, but tired.

"Why?"

I pressed my lips together tightly. She knew me well enough to know I could be very stubborn when I wanted to be.

"Well I told the docter we might be pregnant and she tested us."

"So are we pregnant or not?"
