Chapter 6 Since When Did Airplanes Ride Get So Interesting?

We were waiting at the counter to get our luggage checked. Nathan tried to talk to me on the ride here, but I ignored him. Joey and Kristina tried to stay away from her, but I saw the looks they exchanged. I sighed because I was jealous that I couldn't find it myself. I must've sighed a little loud because Nathan looked over at me with a worried look, but as i have been usually ingnored it. After what seemed like years we finally got all of our luggage done. Mom gave us our tickets and passports.

"Hey Kristina!! What seat do you have???"

"Row A seat 3."

"Ugh!!! I got Row A seat 5. Who got seat 4?!?!"

"I think Joey did, but I begged mom for seats next to each other."

She didn't really say in a convincing voice so I narrowed my eyes at her.

"Mhm! I asked her for it too!!! Mom how come we didn't get seats together?"

"That's just how they turned out and I can't change them now."

"Ok thanks for explaining it to me though!!"

We flew through security and boarded the plane. When I found my seat I noticed that there weren't a lot of people and the I finally noticed that Nathan was already in the one next to mine. I groaned in my head. I turned around and Kristina just shrugged her shoulders innocently. Of course. She was behind this. I sat down in my seat and pulled out a book and started reading. In the background I heard that the pilot was announcing take off. When the plane started going up my ears popped and I winced. I turned slightly to the side and saw that Nathan had his head over the headrest and his eyes were shut tight. I looked at Kristina's seat the curtain was closed. Hmmm I'll close the curtain to give Nathan some privacy. He heard the sound and sat up looking around. I pushed him down because I wanted him to get some rest since he would be to busy in California.

"Get some rest!"

He seemed to relax under my touch.

"Hey Ivy?"

"Um yeah?"

"You know i'm really really sorry."

I sighed. He was half unconcious so he probably didn't know what he was saying so I tried to agree with him.

"Yeah... I know."

"Mmmm."

He fell asleep so I pulled a blanket over him and fell asleep.

When I woke up I found that my head was on Nathan's shoulder and his head was on top of mine. I didn't want to wake him up, but I pulled his head up lightly and put it back on the headrest and covered him up. I think he woke up, but tried not to show it. I pulled out my book again. When I looked up Nathan was gone. Where did he go? I looked up and down the aisle. The one thing I noticed is that Kristina and Joey's curtain had a big bulge in it. The big bulge looked a little like Nathan. O gosh what are they talking about? I saw the curtain open up so I ducked back in. I pretended to still be reading my book. When Nathan walked in I looked up trying to act like I was bored.

"I wanted to talk to you about something."

"Um ok?"

"Yeah like I said last night i'm really sorry."

"Oh were you? I mean you were half asleep. I didn't know if you ment it..."

"I did and was wondering if you would go out with me??"
